IMO wireless charging is a waste of time....it's slow and causes the phone to heat up a fair bit.

Sounds like you've not used it. so what's your opinion based on?
Wireless charging is the same speed as standard charging (not fast charger) and the heat generated isn't much more than it is when you use a cable.

I've used it on a Note 3 and Nexus 6.

Wireless has a 1A output, normal charging has 2A.

Wireless charging is not my cup of tea. Like I said...IMO.

1.5A input, 1A out. Same as they ever were. My guess is that wasted 0.5A is what is adding to the extra heat generated.

edit - output spec is on this page

http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/...ssories/smartphone-accessories/EP-PG920IBEGWW

Strange, they all seem to specify 1.5A output on specs even though it says differently there.

I'm not using the Samsung charger btw, not that it really matters.

Regardless I'm finding it a lot more convenient and the charge time is much better than I expected.

Pay day today and it looks like we are still getting ripped off for these compared to Germany. £532 for the 64GB on Amazon.de. Why are Samsung limiting the supply of sim free phones here?

Just order from am.de. Got 2 from them last week and their working perfectly, you get an EU charger but I use a wireless charger and my gf uses a multi USB charging point so we're not too bothered. May purchase one of the quick chargers when they come down in price, £20 is a bit much at the moment.

Also I'm happy with the wireless charger, been using one since my GS5.

I suppose if I do that, at least I wouldn't have to remember to bring an EU adapter. Last time I took a cheeky weekend trip away I bought the charger but no adapter. :o

Purchased.

It is the standard. Comes out at £540 once shipped or £560 if you use their currency converter. I still think it is ridiculous I had to buy it from Germany. Sort it out Samsung or I might not be a customer in future..

I'm in a similar position I'm gona buy from .de but I don't know whether to be a cheap ass and buy white, a chav and buy gold/plat or be the conservative norm I normally inhabit and buy very dark blue.

Bought white, I didn't like the black/blue in the 3 store so I went against all my instincts with the white while a couple of cans in, I would have had the gold but it wasn't gold enough.

I ordered from Am.de and also had my faulty S6 replaced by them too. They refunded me the £60 postage fee (next day insured) which is fantastic CS.
