*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

I found screen brightness killed battery a lot on the s6

As a test leave screen at 20% and see how much battery you save

Yes mate, my £600 phone is perfect and I want to give Samsung manlove.

12 hours yesterday, 2 hours SOT phone asking to be charged. I've disabled everything I can and the phone is pretty much a Nokia 7210 now.

At the minute a have a large problem and the thing is next to useless. I have removed my exchange account this morning as I have found that that may cause a problem on the net and we'll see how it goes, although it doesn't cause problems on other phones. I shouldn't have to spend hours on the net figuring out what to turn off and what I shouldn't, if the thing can't cope with stuff that's on there out of the box then they shouldn't be there.

Sounds like yours is faulty. I'm finding the battery pretty decent on mine and I haven't even done any tweaking.

Yesterdays effort, battery chart isn't even showing anything untoward. 2hrs SOT, 30 mins of calls.

Hello chaps, been looking at the Samsung 6 edge, I am currently using a m7, what is the best deals people have found? I am looking to move away from EE, due to poor signal where i live. 02 seems a bit steep in price at the moment.

@kitch9. The angle on that battery dischage slope looks similar to the slope that developed on my Huawei y550 spare phone which had previously had a mega good battery life, I did a factory reset then hardly put any of my apps back on and it went back to stellar battery life, my guess is it's an app ir combibation of apps.

Fully understand your angst I would have hated dropping £435 only to find my phone was nerfed, all I can suggest is factory reset then work through getting your apps back on.

I'm not that "appy," though, I just use Facebook, Email, Exchange (Usually) Chrome and the mainstream stuff.

Bought myself a Choetech stadium, I was going to buy a Qistone+ but it seemed a bit temperamental re positioning in the videos I watched and apparently there's a new model coming out soon which I hope is an improvement as I like the no wires charging pad concept.

Yeah that's definitely not normal, maybe it's the Facebook app. Your graph indicates that your phone never really sleeps.

The next thing it could be is your mobile signal. If you're in an area of poor signal reception then that can cause more drain.

Right placing my order - Edge or not? I can't decide, money isn't really a factor but I'm worried the Edge features just won't ever be touched or used. It sounds like a cool gimmick that I'll never actually want to use.

Would a case for the S6 also fit the S6 Edge?

It's pretty awesome how at one angle the phone looks blue but then at other angles it's pitch black.

Thanks for the info about the camera version check, I got the Samsung Sensor

No probs :) Edge does look quite awesome when the light hits it, its a nice little effect.

is that an iPad case? If so which one ? :)

Nope not for iPad, its made by Belkin. They have may have something similar for iPad though.

I had a play with both before deciding I actually preferred the standard s6. The edge thing is nothing but a gimmick and not worth the extra money at all. I actually thought it looked a bit odd.
