How do you check what sensor you have? Not that it really matters as they surely have to be comparable.
Don't buy an edge for the features, I don't use them...they are rubbish.
Think of it as an Audi S-Line, you buy it because its pretty, not because its any faster.
Wahey, there's a fix for the RAM problem we have. Works like a charm on mine.

Be careful, you could bootloop your device if you make any mistakes in your build.prop.
Also I found a useful app that gets rid of your "s-finder" and "quick connect" in your notification pulldown. Install and reboot.

Out of interest, and sorry I've not been keeping up with this thread, but is there a way to tell what sensor its got before you buy, and is it a noticeable difference between the Sony and Samsung sensors? Ta!

No way to tell at all before you buy, unless you go in the shop and open the box and boot it up and check,and i cant see them letting you do that.
Best to go with amazon and buy sim free, they are good for returns.

Did you click isp ver check after opening the options page with the keypad?

Yes, but it doesn't mention sony/samsung. Just a part number or firmware version. Unless I know what it means it's just a number.
I'll try Google it I guess.
Edit: Googled the version number and it seems it is the Samsung sensor.

i contacted samsung knox, and got a reply.
Whilst true, I still want the edge because i want something that looks pretty.

Fresh reset, now I'm getting this, is it normal? I'm hoping its an indication the thing is now sleeping.
Download CPU spy and it will show if the phone is deep sleeping.
Also did you root/custom recovery it?

Thats where I'm at. I wouldn't want a standard S6, the Edge was the only option for me.
I get a lot of aesthetic pleasure from my Edge so worth the extra to me.
Can't root, I use Sky Go quite a bit. I've just install CPU SPY so I'll see if the phone is deep sleeping.
