Battery life still garbage.

WTF. I wish Sony could actually use their good camera sensors in their own phones instead of just flogging them to Apple because they make Samsung look like amateurs in everything else.

Barely 3 hours sot and 10 hours battery life.

Email app is pathetic.

Can't sort app drawer alphabetically. Sigh.

Memory leak.

Closes apps aggressively even with 3gb.

Flip board instead of Now.. Why?

Samsung app store. Why?

Bloatware in your face constantly.

Buyers remorse overload at the mo. At least the camera is good.

What does your battery life useage monitor look like- in terms of what % each service is using? I normally get about 4.5 - 5 hours OST. Screen brightness is normally set to about 40% but slightly highter if I am outside.

I never have both wifi and mobile data antenna on both at the same time.

Total battery time between charges is about 20+ hours dependant upon use

Email app is pathetic.

This is coming in 5.1.1 which will be out in a couple of weeks

I can't really comment on this. Obviously lots of users are reorting it, but it's never been a problem for me. I think this is being fixed in 5.1.1

What tempered glass screen protectors do people find are the best? The one by Zagg seems to get good reviews.

The most important thing for me is being as invisable as possible and edge to edge coverage.

Coming from an S4 I find the S6 a massive step up in every single way.
 
Are their any email apps that aren't cloud based thar don't look like they have been designed by a twelve year old?

Maybe some futuristic features like the ability to mark all as read at once, preview pane or even swipe to mark as read?

Just some way to mark as read without having to actually read the email there and then would maybe do.

Is there anyway to uninstall an app without it just leaving a hole in the app drawer where the app used to be?

I'd agree with this. A nice step up from the s4 in all areas.

The only issue I have with it is the bloatware which is a Samsung thing in general. When will they realise we don't want hundreds of junk apps we can't get rid of that just sit there cluttering up your phone.

If the s6 had stock Android it would be close to perfect.
 
Picked up my new 128gb Edge yesterday. Very impressed with the build quality. No scratches or issues that I can see so far other than Vodafone data connection does not work yet after transferring from 3.

Coming from an iPhone 6 plus (which i still have) I think it's superb. Very fast, wifi is noticeably quicker than on my 6 plus, the camera is also very quick to load and snap pictures. It has the Samsung sensor rather than the Sony which i'm not worried about.

The fingerprint reader works just as well as the iPhone one which I am very happy about. Also purchased the wireless charger which is great as well, something so simple yet so good.

Can anyone recommend a decent tempered glass screen protector?

i get 4hr.30min - 5hrs sot which is more then fine and im on 4g all the time with a lot of streaming being viewed , actually for a small battery and high spec speed cpu its quite amazing

i use both email app for hotmail and 2 gmail on push and its fine to me

the build quality is amazing, camera amazing, super fast charging , finger print works very well, battery life to me is good, for such fast cpu and low capacity battery its good achievement

i hated touchwiz it was always getting hiccups and lags / stutters, using nova sorted that and its soo customizable, what they need to fix is the apps closing which i find most annoying
 
Yeh, I'm not sure how anyone could slate this phone really. Not much wrong with it that can't be tweeked to suit your needs. That's the beauty of android. Hardware wise its a fantastic device.

I would love to see all manufacturers give an option for stock android though.

My battery is definitely better than my s4 with its new battery, this is the best phone I've had and the only camera on android I've been happy with, zero buyers remorse but I'll still probably buy a Note 5 around Christmas time.
 
I was worried about the battery to start with, but after a few charges it seems to have improved quite a bit. Lasting the day easily now where the s4 needed charging.
 
I'm looking at getting one of these (Galaxy S6 32GB) to replace my Nexus 5 (16GB). From reading the reviews it looks like pretty much the best Android phone out at the moment. I really like the standard Android setup of the Nexus phones but the Nexus 6 is too big and doesn't excite me.

Anything I should know about the S6 before taking the plunge? 32GB will be more than enough for me.

Would you expect the battery life to be better than the Nexus 5?

I don't tend to ever really find the Nexus 5 slow at anything, but I'm guessing the S6 has some cool new technology and features (especially around the camera) which should make it a decent enough phone for the next few years.

I'm looking for a case and tempered glass screen protector for my regular Black S6.

The problem I have is most of the tempered glass screen protectors dont go from edge to edge of the screen and leave a messy looking rim around the edge. *by edge to edge I don't mean S6 Edge.

I found these which do go from edge to edge and wondered if anyone has any expereince with them?

I would like to use them in conjunction with a Spigen Neo Hybrid but wasnt sure if the screen protector would get in the way of the case fitting?

Or does anyone have any other tempered glass screen protector/case combo that workds really well? I quite like the Spigen because it has a nice slim form factor and similar metal rig to the naked phone, but am open to suggestions.

Yes mate, my £600 phone is perfect and I want to give Samsung manlove.

12 hours yesterday, 2 hours SOT phone asking to be charged. I've disabled everything I can and the phone is pretty much a Nokia 7210 now.

At the minute a have a large problem and the thing is next to useless. I have removed my exchange account this morning as I have found that that may cause a problem on the net and we'll see how it goes, although it doesn't cause problems on other phones. I shouldn't have to spend hours on the net figuring out what to turn off and what I shouldn't, if the thing can't cope with stuff that's on there out of the box then they shouldn't be there.
