*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Anyone looking for a stock android look theme non rooted, one in the theme store called material it does everything.

Urgh the S6 i bought of ebay the woman must be new to paypal and wont despatch until the payment clears (which paypal obviously put in place to new customers for scam reasons) What a ball ache, wish she would just despatch shes going to get the money sooner or later.

Absolutely! Well, it cost me about £15 (fuel, couple of premium rate phone calls and wembley car parking over the two different days I went to sort this), but it was worth it to me.

Sorry, what was the problem again with the home button? I want to make sure mine hasn't got the same issue.

Well, some people will think I'm being over fussy, but the left side of the button only responded with harder presses. Also I could hear it tapping on the left side when I held it to my ear, it felt loose. It wouldn't respond when I pressed it lightly and felt it click. So unless I consciously remembered to press the button very firmly, I would get mis-presses. My thumb seems to gravitate to the left part of the button as I hold the phone, so I need it to respond the same as if I was pressing the centre. The centre of the button and going across to the very edge of the right side would respond instantly with the lightest of touch. I did actually read a thread by another person on XDA who said he had the same issue on the same side of the button. But on this replacement phone, the home button is flawless, it responds to the lightest of presses just as it clicks, from the very left edge right across to the other edge. Also, putting the home button close to my ear, there is absolutely no loose sound, no wiggling.

edit: btw, just checked and this phone also has the samsung camera sensor like the last one. Bah :D

Thanks. Mines fine, light touch works all over. It does rock very slightly, but I think that's normal.

I assume you used the French firmware? Thinking of doing this but is there anything I should be aware of - eg: will my phone now get the updates released in France rather than those released in the UK?

Why have you assumed I used the French firmware? This was for the S6 Edge by the way.

The one I downloaded was UK/IRE :)

@Merlin5, imho your behaviour has been perfectly normal, no reason to accept second best when attempting to buy a premium product, I hope and trust it will all be sorted out to your satisfaction.

How is the samsung sensor, is it's icocell done any better than HTC's brave attempt?

Samsung are a complete joke.

Customer service call centre told me me to take my phone to the nearest service centre so it could be dealt with there and then.

I drive the 30 miles to the service centre only to be told that the issue isn't covered by warranty....

I told them it is as Samsung sent me there to get it sorted and I had the paperwork they told me to go with.

"Doesn't work like that... " the service centre guy tells me.

Ffs 90 min round trip for nowt.

Samsung can shove this peice of crap phone where the sun don't shine.

What wrong with your phone mate?

Damn Samsung S View case scratched screen to hell within a week.

Samsung CS after hours of being on hold told me to take it to the nearest service centre who would sort it while I wait.

The service centre said nope not covered and they have no way of checking my story with the call centre because it was the weekend.

Hours on hold and a 90 minute drive for nothing.
