*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

I'm using these http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=261864503503&globalID=EBAY-GB

It's like a soft floppy clear skin which is a dry install

Works well. Slight rubbery feel to it

There are no decent tempered glass out for the edge yet. So using the above until decent ones knew come out that don't cost £25+

Thanks mate, ordered them last night.

Does anyone use the wireless charger? Was thinking about buying one but wanted to get some opinions on it first.

I'm using material theme from the theme afkre

When the Dev updates it will the updates come through and automatically update on to the phone?

One thing I found though, you get a lot of air bubbles on first install. Try to use a credit card wrapped in micro fibre to push any out

For the ones you can't move, leave there. Over a day or 2 the bubbles will disappear by themselves. Not sure how but must be the tpu material allowing air to escape

Pretty much this. I always charge my phone overnight with zero negative effects.

The article didn't say overcharging was bad it said the sweet spot the battery liked being at was 50/80% as overnight charging always gets to 100%, I just charge during the day as I get plenty time right next to power points.

In 8 hours last night it went it went from 100% to 98% and is sitting at 96% now.

Iirc the battery article was posted by Cosimo late last week if that's any help.

I have the official Samsung one and to be honest, it's on my bed side cabinet which is fine except it lights up the whole room almost when in use. Need to put some black tape over them.

To be honest I dont use it now, I plug straight into the phone.

Hey guys, there's a list of tips and tricks here worth perusing, some we know and some perhaps not. http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/general/galaxy-s6-tips-tricks-t3072036

Number 23 is how to completely debloat without rooting.

My favourite though is disabling double click for the camera on the home button to get rid of the small delay. It really does make the home button instant.

Even better when you use Nova, get the home button to launch camera and have the double tap disabled in camera settings to make the home button instant.

Thanks, I've been considering a launcher for a while, deciding on continuing with Apex which was good on my S2, or Nova. By most accounts, Nova is better so I think I'll go with that. I mostly just want a launcher to be able to have a horizontal scrolling dock.

I'm not sure I'm following what you said about the home button launching the camera but disabling the double tap.

Disabling double tap home button to launch the camera disables the home button lag. In nova settings having the home button to launch the camera gives the best of both.

Ah. So I imagine in Nova it would be something like a long press (instead of a double tap) to open the camera, and a short press to close windows or go back to the home screen.

I found out that S6 car chargers advertised as rapid charging are bog standard charging speeds. The charger needed is this one, it's an adaptive fast charger model EP-LN915UBESTA. http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EP-LN915UBESTA

Just rang Samsung UK to ask where I can buy one as it's not on the Samsung UK website and he told me it's not available yet in the UK and that if I bought from the US it would invalidate my warranty as it's not a european model. I hope they have them in the UK soon. I've no idea if there are adaptive wireless car chargers here yet but would imagine they'd be over £50.

Don't really understand why anyone wouldn't put their phone into flight mode over night

The point is NOT that am concerned about the fact that the drain is overnight. I don't care about that - I can have it charging overnight.

The point is that overnight is the best time to ascertain whether there is any unnecessary battery drain. During the day isn't a good time to ascertain this as I'm actually using the phone.
