*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

What a load of bull,i've ordered countless items through amazon marketplace and never had an issue and with amazon's third party A-Z warranty program it doesn't have to be a headache to return something if needed.

1. I'm happy for you
2. My comment was in my own opinion - hence the "imo" in the sentence
3. Amazon Marketplace purchases are not covered by Consumer Credit Act - so not even credit card companies trust them
4. my comment was about buying a S6 mobile not a £2 usb cable
5. So you would happily buy from one of these sellers ?

I got the S6 edge because it was narrower, the S6 felt like a slate compared to it.

Its no gimmick as it is much nicer to hold and use, is it worth £100 more?
What is a £100 interest free for 2 years, £1 a week which is nothing.

Credit card companies didn't write the CCA. Even if they had, it was enacted in 1974 - so not exactly with Amazon purchases in mind!

If you make a Marketplace purchase there is no direct transfer of money from you to the seller (because you pay Amazon and Amazon pays the seller). This is why the CCA guarantee doesn't apply. It's nothing to do with trust - it's just a quirk of a fairly old piece of legislation.

I just got my galaxy s6. The phone is great. What app is it to make the battery last longer? Also Do you have any apps that you would recommend getting for the phone. I jumped from a S3 to the S6 so it is a great difference for me

Ex Dialer, Package disabler, Nova Launcher, Gmail, Textra, Chrome, Quickpic. Your good to go.

Going to keep this S6, although half the screen still has a slight pink tint, and also its had knox tripped. Which i dont care about aslong as when stock its still capable of getting OTA. I'll be flashing Xtrolite rom on anyway at some stage.

Do you have child size hands? :D

I bought the S6 because the Edge felt like a gimmick and the sides were too easy to touch while holding it.

Again, i have had to return items before worth hundreds and not had an issue, because of amazon's A-Z third party warranty. If the seller has a few hundred feedback @ 85+% positive then yes i would.

Bought an unlocked S6 for the GF off Amazon. The one arrived has the sticker "European Sim only". Does this have any bearing on the functionality or limitations of the phone?

Hmmmm, turned off finger print scanning and phones running much quicker and the random heavy battery drops of 20-30 percent in a couple of hours with nothing showing in battery monitor appear to have stopped.

Go figure.

Just to confirm , Samsung do this to stop grey market imports and it uses a 1 time SIM lock system with central control server. You're 100% fine with new devices having that sticker.
