*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

The phone and glass are pretty strong in drop tests, most of the damage was cosmetic which it should help with. The camera is somewhat protected as the bulge is raised just above the glass.

All the "slim" cases I've tried that protect the camera completely ruin the feel of the phone.

I beg to differ, the glass on this phone scratches if you look at it wrong.

My screen has been naked since I've had it about a month and touch wood still perfect. This includes putting it in my pocket with keys and coins.

You answered your own question really, no insurance. :D

Besides the phone is quite slippery, that was my main reason for wanting a case.

Fair enough I guess.

I just wish that they will bring out a tempered glass screen protector for the S6 edge that sticks down well on the edges

Had the s6 about a week now. Getting really peed about how terrible scrolling is, particularly when Web browsing or for example in the play store app.

Sure my s5 and nexus 5 weren't this bad, what is going on?

Just noticed that coming from an iPhone 6. But anything is better than the eyephone 20 years behind rubbish.

Browser is fine here, Play Store lags on everything but I did find it worse when I tried a french firmware and quickly changed back to BTU because if that, otherwise it feels the same as stock.

What browser are you using? maybe try another.

I was using Chrome. It was unbearable so I've gone to the native browser which is slightly smoother.

I just don't understand it, why were my Nexus 5 and Galaxy S5 so much smoother with inferior hardware?

I'm losing my love for the S6 rapidly.

iOS scrolls differently to Android. It appears smoother because it's doing far less.

I haven't noticed any scrolling lag with Chrome, I suspect you have another issue.

Never used Samsung's browser.

Maybe. I'll check out my mates s6 when I see him next week.

Check out this battery life, it's absolutely pants too. Brightness is on auto and bluetooth is turned off.

Better than I managed to get. Tis the main reason I returned it. Wish Samsung would just build the nice hardware (with a larger battery) and leave the Touchwiz nonsense out.

Mine is the same. It seems to have even got worse with 5.1.1 struggling to get anything above 2 hours Sot. Over night it's only dropping around 10% so it's definitely the screen causing the drain and it's set to auto brightness. Gonna send it back to samsung to look at.

Anyone in the market for one of these, they're £21 a month with £100 upfront at mobiles.co.uk. Less whatever casback you can get from quidco or topcashback.

Not a bad price if you can manage on 1gb data.

Edit - 32gb non edge version of course.

I'm still loving my standard S6 having had it now for a few months. I managed to get a genuine wireless qi charger for it and it makes life a lot easier. £10.50 well spent.

I'm always wary of busting the usb port. I really wished Samsung went with usb-c and be done with the nonsense of figuring out which way all your various devices plug in.

The phone is still amazing. I get regular compliments on the quality of the camera.

if anyone is in doubts, suggest you go with it. I'm still using touchwiz and am non-rooted.

Maybe I just got unlucky with mine or my standards are higher, because less than 24 hours was enough to make me hate it. Each to their own I guess :)
