*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Has anyone found a screen protector which covers the frontal area I don't know if this is on purpose with the s6 (flat) but the ones I have seen only just cover the lit screen leaving a 1-2mm gap to the edge.

The protector I had on my S4 went all the way to the edge.

Tried dozens and the answer is.

Nope.

I think the reason the screen protector doesn't really go right to the edge is because the edges on even the flat s6 are every so slightly curved so when you swipe across the screen it all feels flush. If a screen protector went right to the edge it'd just trap dust/come off in a matter of days.

Ouch, please tell me it was at least insured?

Yeah, automatically insured through my bank account but the issue I have is I can't do without a smart phone whilst this is off to be repaired.

If not...get it insured and wait 14 days to claim ;)

If I didn't have money or I didn't work for a large insurer I would seriously consider this, but if I didn't have insurance I would just fork out £200 to repair the screen.

What is it with Android loading all my apps in the background after they've been closed? I'm assuming it's caching them all but why? they're small apps and they launch almost instantly, plus it makes it really difficult to identify where my battery is going when everything appears to be active.

If I close all background apps without 10 minutes it's up to 50+ with 200MB free, I know free memory is wasted memory but this is just silly.

Is this typical lollipop behavior? It's bonkers.

Same here. had that microsoft apps update yonks ago.

swiftly disabled them.

i hate the fact that samsung can "force" apps on our phones via updates. i wish we could accept the update but not the apps that are bundled with it. annoying.

Just got my S6 Edge + Changed from an S6 and glad I did :) awesome screen and the extra size make it a nicer experiance.

Received my choetech chargers. Got one for each bedside table but unfortunately one of them makes a loud high pitched whine whilst charging. They both seem to do it but one is worse than the other. Do you think this is a valid reason to return them as faulty?

Mine did it so bought a £14 official Samsung one from Amazon warehouse and it's silent. Put the choetech next to my PC

Question for those using a wireless charger. Has anyone tried running one of these through PC USB, as opposed to a mains charger? I ask because it would be really handy in my office at work (don't have any free sockets nearby, but about 4 of them on my PC).

Ginga
