*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

My S6 Edge just suddenly died on me tonight whilst watching the liverpool game on Sky Sports Mobile app, anyone else had this or know of a solution, tried charging the phone but no lights turn on. Tried the various button pressing techniques to put on safe mode or recovery mode, does absolutely nothing, god awful timing with new years eve tomorrow!

I had the same thing happen to me while web browsing a few months ago. It just suddenly turned off and would not turn back on. I tried charging it, holding down the various button combos to get it into recovery etc. But nothing worked.
Ended up sending it to the repair centre and they diagnoised that the main board had died so got it swapped out for another board.
Was all good for a few weeks until the speaker microphone failed and off it went to get repaired again.
Turns out the main board they replaced was at fault again as the speaker microphone is part of it. Rather than fix it Samsung gave me a brand new replacement phone in November and touchwood this one has been fine so far.

Broke the screen on my S4 Christmas day so am now looking at buying either a S6 or S6 edge or S6 edge+ (Still have no idea which one to choose yet)
But they have no removable battery..:mad::mad:

Or I could just use my old S3 till the S7 gets released but then the S7 is most likely going be very expensive on release.

I went yesterday and they said they believe it to be that the mainboard has died so waiting for repair of that, I hope it doesn't happen again or I won't be happy. Last Samsung I had was the Note 2 and that had sudden death syndrome so thats my last 2 samsungs both just suddenly dying.
