*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

i've got one of the choetech wireless pads plugged into the back of my pc with the base sitting on my desk. When i'm browsing I just plonk the phone on top and it charges happily without having to remove the case etc. It's been well worth the money for me personally. Not much speed difference (that i've noticed) between this and a mains adapter.

I do the same, very convenient

and just got the latest BTU rom

At first i though the rom was corrupt as it would not unzip, but that was just my outdated WinRar - unzipped fine with 7Zip

thanks man, running stock 5.1.1 now.

this phone is great, so much better than OP2...lighter, easier to hold, FASTER, and the screen is just awesome. not expecting the battery life to be great, but 2 wireless charging pads + fast charging should take care of that.

With MM this should be even better, no complaints for £260.

is there a way of unlocking the phone using fingerprint scanner and not pressing the home button? It feels awkward that I actually have to press it, not just touch it.

Can I download and flash this with ODIN just like I can with any other firmware. (I've flashed about 4 updates on my S6, but not marshmallow ones).

Also, does the fingerprint scanner work on the beta?

I thought that you could only get it if you were invited by registering for the beta using the Galaxy Care app from the store but that the registration process was now closed.

There is a thread over at XDA which may show you how to flash it without registration:

Not sure of the status of the fingerprint scanner but take a look here:

Something's odd there - you've never had to press the button to unlock the phone, either on 5.x or 6.x. A quick touch is all it takes.
