It'll keep Marshmallow but it erases all files and restores it to a clean state to how it should be.I have never done a factory reset, as it is supposed to clear and replace everything does it put ithe phone back to an earlier operating system or should it keep marshmallow
Just checked manually on my s6 (EE) and what looks like Marshmallow is coming through ☺
What what what??!!??!?!!!!
Just checked mine and nothing! You tease!
Maybe need a factory reset
Factory reset after every major update should be compulsory for this reason.
Well that sucks. I won't have access to a PC for the next few weeks.
Bit crap that in this day and age we can't just update and have it working without having to resort to wiping/reflashing. What on earth would the average, non-tech savvy person do in this situation? The phone is almost unusable unless I go into recovery and wipe the cache every few hours... Took me a few minutes trying to type this out!

Updated OTA. I usually root my phones and flash updates via ODIN, but this is the first time I've not rooted so thought I'd just do it the official way.
Well I just couldn't wait and I've gone and bricked my phone
It's stuck in download mode and the BTU won't write
I think it may be corrupt
Does anyone have a fast download link to the unbranded marshmallow BTU for the standard SIM free S6?
