Worth buying s6 32GB?

I'm out of contract now for my GS4 with O2.
Just curious for your thoughts on purchasing an S6 32GB. Ideally I would like an S7 but can't afford the cost atm.

Has battery life on the S6 improved with recent android os update?

Also, lack of SD slot? Have about 20 GB of music on an SD card in my current phone and like to take lots of photos. Don't watch movies though as I use my ipad for that. Will 32 be enough?

Looking at about £28 pm with CPW on O2. Can't seem to find a better deal with O2.

Thanks

I would wait for the price to maybe come down on the S7. I totally forgot that the S6 does not have expandable memory, which I found a bit of a pain with taking holiday snaps and videos.

Samsung's Good Lock app now official:

With Good Lock users can not only customize the on-screen look of their smartphone but can also alter the way they use the lock screen and notifications. Good Lock allows for faster access to the most frequently used applications and settings while widgets can be placed on the lock screen to quickly get the information of choice without having to unlock the screen

Looked and it is already installed on the phone.

Thanks for the heads up. Great to see that it's now official for the S6.

I like this lockscreen, if not just for the fact that you can enable widgets on it. Having access to the calendar (I use and app called Month) and podcast controls whenever you need them is fantastic.

I also (and this may be just placebo!) think that unlocking the phone using fingerprint scanner seems a tad quicker with the new lockscreen.

Also, like the fact that the lockscreen wallpaper becomes the album art of whatever you're listening to.

This is something I've been meaning to ask about for ages. It used to happen in my old phone (Nexus 4) and I actually quite missed it when I switched to the S6. Good to see it's back.

Yeah that's it.

I really like the phone but the battery is really bugging me, yesterday I went to the football match at 6pm with phone on 100%, got home at around 11:30pm and it was down to 35% and I had barely used it other than taking a dozen pics a couple of calls and a few text.

I can still return it but its what to replace it with.

Im getting sick of waiting on EE to push out Marshmallow update for my S6 Edge so im thinking of side loading it like what I used to do with my other Galaxy phones.

I know if you side load/root a custom rom the Knox will be tripped which is bad, but does it still trip if you side load a official rom like the unbranded marshmallow UK/EU rom?

If so is it still a case of booting up load and booting up the phone into recovery mode (volume down, main button and power on button when booting) loading the rom in the AP section of Oden and letting it go ?

It doesn't trip knox, no. And the process is pretty much as you describe it using ODIN

Anyone having trouble with the battery life on the S6 edge, turn off wifi and mobile data. It lasts forever when you do that. ;)

Also download package disabler and turn off the bloat ware you don't use.

... exactly why I ditched the S6. Not acceptable that you have to switch off basic functionality, and eradicate bloatware that shouldn't be there in the first place, just to get reasonable battery life.
