Most phones do!

My old S2 will easily last a week ore more in flight mode, I use it as a backup alarm clock! But kind of defeats the point when it's an actual phone you use though!



Could someone please point me to the correct stock Marshmallow rom to flash to my EE S6 as I'm sick of waiting for EE to sort themselves out!
 
You should be able to, I did so with my S7 Edge using Odin.

You might want to check xda-developers out though, as far as I know Samsung only provided 1 file to flash with the S6 devices.

S7/Edge has 5 files in the zip provided.
 
when I got my S6 it was region locked until I made 5 minutes of phone calls, I have made over 5 minutes of calls, but is there any way of checking that the phone has been region unlocked as it doesn't come up with any message or anything to tell you

If you search this thread for the word "case", you'll get a good few suggestions. I myself have suggested a few on here. I don't think any of them cost more than a fiver or so.
 
Updated mine manually a few days ago, wiped it in the process so now have a nice unbranded phone with proper OTA updates. Only down side is no WiFi calling but I hardly ever used it anyway so no big deal. Typical though that a few days after I do it then it comes out!
 
Recently got a sim free S6 - its still stuck on 5.1.1.
I'm sim only with BT (so using EE) - any idea what I'm waiting for or who is supposed to push the update out for me?

Looks like the latest firmware has broken the 'screen off and lock' app i was using, turning the screen off with it i'm asked for a password when i turn it on rather than a fingerprint.

pressing the side button to turn the screen off works as normal.
