Weigh up the pros and cons yourself, don't just buy one because it's in favour. :)

I don't know about you, but I am partial to passing on things that have the most flaws. That's usually where the majority of the crowd goes too :p*

If only that were the case... the majority of the crowd tend to go with the majority of the crowd which tend to go with whats trendy.
Make your own mind up :)

Looking at all the comments in this thread as to whether the phone will sell/not sell with/without certain features I find it amazing that every Samsung phone I've seen in use on my travels on the London underground has the standard Touchwiz launcher :D

Samsung really need to do away with the hardware buttons on the bottom of the phone. It's just adds unnecessary length to it.

I like having an SD card because I prefer taking it out and managing my storage directly. I find doing through the phone (with the phone plugged into my pc) is slow.

When I first swapped from the iPhone to a Galaxy when the S3 came out I looked at the galaxy as "an iPhone without the restrictions Apple force on everyone and with an SD card slot". That was the way I saw it, since then I dont want to go back to IOS and want to keep to the Galaxy line, however having no SD card slot may make me look at other Android devices.

If it's not broken ;)

Agreed, I hate the fact that I'm goin to lose actual real world bonuses like a removable battery and sd card because others who's opinion I don't value think aluminium is premium.

The removable battery adds life span to the gadget, after nearly 2 years my s4 battery is pretty much shot, how long will an s6 last a heavy user or will it have any value to sell or give to someone else.

I know loads of people still using an s3 having bought a new battery, iyam the s5 sold less because folk were happy with their s3 or s4 rather than didn't want the s5.

The i6 sold so many because i owners were holding out for a big screen and having spent hundreds of pounds on music and apps couldn't move to android so once the 6 came tens of millions bought one at once.

I don't need anyone to tell me that's how business works I know but I don't have to like or support it, just like I don't support Nestlé's buying up of aquifers or selling Africans poor quality breast milk substitute even though both actions get extra dosh for shareholders.

I'm going to wait to see all details before I decide between this and the Sony Z3

I wanted my next phone to be water resistant because I work outside all day everyday
I also like having an SD card

On the Samsung side, I liked my S3 and I like my S4. I also like the idea of the edge screen and the looks. Just not sure if these things are worth choosing over the practicality of the Z3's water resistance and SD slot.
