*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S6/Edge Thread ***

Stoosh is preparing his wallet for a hit from this phone.

I'm just going to stand-by and laugh.

Laugh all you want but I'll be having the last laugh when I will have a shiny new 128Gb S6 Edge in my possession and you'll be suffering from gadget envy Dude :p

Neither matters in reality, you'd enjoy owning one (and wouldn't feel the need to change it). You shouldn't get too hung up on specs.

Even so, you could get a 5s or something older, still a major improvement on the 4s which is pretty bad now.

I'm not sure what keeps me iphone to be honest! I have however paid for tomtom on it! The 5s would be ok, but screen is pretty small!

Well, this is the first Samsung phone launch (not Note) in a while where people are mostly positive rather than complaining...

Lol, he doesn't want to be an iFan, should see how I get bullied on steam everyday.

Were Where do I bully you on steam? ;)

Stoosh will likely get bored in 3 weeks, then you can get a health discount.

This is a very good plan! Stoosh.... Sell me your z3, then..... buy new phone then I'll trade you back ;)

Why would you care about that. And he always has been, as evidenced by going back to a 4s despite trying nearly every flagship that's released.

How do you know you will or won't like something if you don't try it? :o

Coming from you ;)

:D

Am over 2 months in with Note 4 best I had so far, the 6 plus lasted less than 2 weeks , lg G3 month and o+o just over a month.

I'm just so disappointed. I currently have a GS2 and I'm desperately looking for a suitable upgrade.

I was willing to overlook the absence of an SD card slot, and pay the Samsung premium for a greater amount of their own on board memory.

Their choice to remove the option of a removeable batter really narks me. It really limits the lifespan of the device.

If what I've read is correct, the standard S6 will ship with a 2550mah battery. It really doesn't matter how efficient the CPU/GPU will be. The screen will always be the biggest drain on the battery.

That's a bit of a stretch. given that it's a completely new SOC drawing less power and a new screen also drawing less power so in effect it would actually be either the same or better than existing higher mAh Samsung flagships I'd say.

And on that note, I really would like an explanation on how the Super AMOLED screen on the S6 draws less power than previous Super AMOLED screens.
