Dude, I've had the Moto X (2013) for over a year now!
And no other phone for over a year?
Dude, I've had the Moto X (2013) for over a year now!
And on that note, I really would like an explanation on how the Super AMOLED screen on the S6 draws less power than previous Super AMOLED screens.
Comparison with the Galaxy Note 3:
The Galaxy Note 4 is 14 percent more power efficient than the Galaxy Note 3. This is due primarily to a 19 percent improvement
in the power efficiency of the Green Primary channel (materials and electronics). The results are scaled for the same Luminance.
Comparison with LCDs:
While LCDs remain more power efficient for images with mostly white content (like text screens, for example), OLEDs are now
more power efficient for mixed image content because they are emissive displays so their power varies with the Average Picture
Level (average Brightness) of the image content. For LCDs the display power is independent of image content. OLEDs have
been rapidly improving in their power efficiency. In fact, the Galaxy Note 4 is 40 percent more power efficient than the
Full HD LCD Smartphones we tested for mixed image content (that includes photos, videos, and movies, for example)
with a typical 50 percent Average Picture Level, APL.
Its always going to improve year over year. I think whats more interesting is the SoC and how it goes against the S810.

Just thought i would rub it in a bit

Both are cortex a57/a53 big.little configurations...i would expect minimal differences between the two,the snapdragon probably 5-10% better gpu wise than the exynos and the other way round cpu wise for exynos vs snapdragon
What's more interesting is the special sauce inhouse firmware they'll use to speedstep and powergate.
All should be revealed by Anandtech.
I'm just so disappointed. I currently have a GS2 and I'm desperately looking for a suitable upgrade.
I was willing to overlook the absence of an SD card slot, and pay the Samsung premium for a greater amount of their own on board memory.
Their choice to remove the option of a removeable batter really narks me. It really limits the lifespan of the device.
If what I've read is correct, the standard S6 will ship with a 2550mah battery. It really doesn't matter how efficient the CPU/GPU will be. The screen will always be the biggest drain on the battery.
And on that note, I really would like an explanation on how the Super AMOLED screen on the S6 draws less power than previous Super AMOLED screens.

I'm personally really digging the blue standard s6,the edge does look nice and being able to configure certain colour's/lights to the edge when the phone is faced down is actually pretty useful but not sure it's £100 more useful.
Is it definitely £100 more, I thought somebody guessed it would be and now everyone seems to have gone with that, or has it been confirmed?
