Yes, it seems less gaudy and bloated. And noticeably quicker.

No reason for the loss of SD slot other than profit$$$. Just needed a slot like the SIM tray.

Normally a year or 2 subscription.

For the economist it'll probably a year of their espresso service which is only a couple of quid a month. For the full thing it is hundreds so that would be very surprising.

only thing worrying me is the lack of demos involving the edge, nearly everything is shown using the standard S6.

Was just thinking the same. They're really exercising their vast marketing budget. Stark contrast to HTC and the rest.

I watched both. They were both terrible.

Samsung's was alright, better than previous years. But yeah, they need better presenters. Tech demo was decent.

HTC's was just a shamble.

That's the only thing that deter's me from ditching my M8 and buying an S6, I could live without boomsound (just) and the camera does look amazing, I usually root and debloat or custom rom so TW is a non issue but I'm damned if I'm paying over the odds for a higher memory capacity.

The M8 has a very high build quality with great design and feel but manages to squeeze one in no problem, as you say it's just about the moolah, I don't think it bodes well for the Note 5

Did you see the 0:58 where he swiped back to the camera. The shot that appeared just before the camera came back... oh dear! Clearly that autofocus tracking isn't that good.
