**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Anyone tried watching a whole season of game of thrones on it yet, that's what they promised. :)

55% remaining with 3h 15m SOT for me today, happy enough with that.

It's not OK though, a 3600mah battery should be performing better, i reckon I'll get 5 hours screen on time before I need to charge it, not good enough, I want double figures lol.

Let's be realistic here, 5sot is fine from a 5.5" 1440p display phone :) my z3compact was better but over the day I've used 30% unplugged at 7:30

Happy with the battery life. Pretty much the same as my note 4. Been hammered all day and still have 30% left.

No videos or games though. Just browsing, listening to radio and music and general faffing around.

Got mine :D:D , unfortunately GiffGaff don't allow sim swaps after 21:30 , so will have to wait until tomorrow. Does anyone know a simple way to copy across viber and whatsapp across from another Android phone ?

Turned off the always on thing. Irritating and distracting really when it changes the location of the clock every minute or so. Have turned on the night clock which is a nice touch :)

With edge feeds on, when you swipe the screen to see any notifications, the phone can then be unlocked your finger print without physically having to press the button. Feels so much better not having to click. I hope the option becomes available with an update.

The edge feed option itself is rubbish though :p

RTFMing the fast wireless charger doc and it states:

FastWirelessPad_rtfm.JPG

The flashing blue LED when I use the Anker QC3.0 adapter is an issue, for some reaosn even though Anker say their QC3.0 block is backwards compatible with QC2.0, the Samsung fast wireless pad doesn't like it at all.

Using the Aukey QC2.0 Turbo charger block works fine though and that outputs 9v @ 2A not 1.67 as specced by the Samsung adaptive fast charger block that comes with the phone.

The Anker QC3.0 block outputs 2A on the 9V line too, but 3A on the 5V.

This leads me to believe that the Samsung fast wireless pad is strictly 10W power output and doesn't like a block being used that has 3A on the 5V line even though it is using the 9V line at 1.67-2A.

The Anker I'm sure will be fine on a 15W wireless charging base as that requires a 5V3A input.

The Anker works fine via USB charging though.

The new standing wireless charging base must also be the same since the voltage and current specs are exactly the same.

So the only fast wireless charger that will charge the S7 faster than the Samsung fast charger is the new 15w Incipio Ghost ...

I'm liking the sound of these, gonna wait a month or two for price to drop sim-free as I'm in no rush but what are the differences between S7 and S7 Edge? I have an LG G2 and I really like the size so the S7 is standing out. Is it just screen and battery, hardware otherwise the same? Cheers :D
