**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Samsung's Good Lock app now official:

With Good Lock users can not only customize the on-screen look of their smartphone but can also alter the way they use the lock screen and notifications. Good Lock allows for faster access to the most frequently used applications and settings while widgets can be placed on the lock screen to quickly get the information of choice without having to unlock the screen

Looked and it is already installed on the phone.

Has anyone moved from iPhone to the S7? I've been away from the Android ecosystem since the S3, not sure if I'd be able to get on with it again after all this time as I do like iOS.

Moved from a 6S+ to an S7e over the weekend.... and moved back to the iPhone today. A few reasons:

- I have very big hands, and even with the latest software update the phone is still registering presses on the edges of the display when I'm not touching it (especially the right side). Doesn't happen all the time but it's pretty annoying when it does. Shouldn't be a problem on the regular S7 though.
- The camera isn't as impressive as I was led to believe. If you're viewing images on the screen it looks amazing but as soon as you put those images onto a larger screen/monitor it falls apart; can only be described as 'mushy', an overprocessed mess. Pro mode mitigates that a bit but I don't want to have to shoot in RAW just to get a clean picture. Low light is decent however.
- Apps are still better, on the whole, on iOS - especially the Microsoft suite of apps. Games also seem to run better on iOS still.

There's a huge amount to like with the S7/S7e though. The battery life on the Edge is incredible, the screen is excellent, waterproofing, excellent fingerprint sensor. Its a very good all-around package indeed, but not enough for me to justify the £600+ cost.

TLDR: iOS apps and games generally better, daylight camera shots a mess unless shooting RAW, S7E has side screen touch issues for my big hands. Couldn't justify keeping it due to cost.

Anyone got any experience using mobiles.co.uk ? Are they just a contract reseller / similar to phones4u? Thanks

Yes they are, they're owned by CPW.

I got my S7 edge from them on an unbelievably good deal. Just over 18 months ago I got my Note 4 on launch day from them on a similarly good deal. Prior to that I got my Note 3 from them and the last few handsets before that.

Never had an issue with them. Can't fault them at all nor figure out how they undercut the networks directly by such a significant margin. Just to give you an idea when I got my Note 4 handset free via them on o2 on a £31 per month contract, o2 direct could offer me the same contract but wanted £250 for the phone.

I got my s7 edge handset for free from mobiles.co.uk on contract and I'm paying £29.50 a month, plus o2 gave me a £10 discount on top of that. :)

Will the wireless charger work if the S7 is in a case? In particular the spigen wallet case? If so, think I'll order one.

It should work with a lot of simple cases, i.e as long as they aren't too thick at the back. I think some users in this thread have confirmed that.

Mine was working with the Spigen clear flexible gel case and my previous S6 Edge worked with the official Samsung leather flip case.

Am thinking of buying a second one for my PC desk..(It a Pain that they no come with the wall charger :()

The first one I use on my bedside table..

Thats what I've got it for, the cable is a bit short to charge it while I'm lay in bed so with this I don't have to keep finding the cable.
