Here's how Nougat looks on a tailored S7 edge with Nova Launcher, custom icons and Material Dark theme.
Many little things I like in N:
- The auto reconnect setting for saved wifi networks is nice, I don't always want to connect to my work wifi, but then again I don't want to have to turn wifi off either, so having an SSID not auto reconnect when in range is handy.
- Double tapping the task switcher capacitive button to immediately cycle between last two apps is handy.
- The phone app has been overhauled for the better, easier to view contact cards and do tasks with them now from the main list itself.
- Split and multiwindow has been given a big boost, it's much quicker, it's also totally free-form for floating windows. Not all apps support split/multi-window, though. Those apps need to be updated. I don't know who said that Android N allows any app to multi-window...
- Fingerprint sensor has become faster, this has been commented on at numerous online sources now, so isn't a placebo thing.
- Ending a call shows a better thought out end of call screen to do tasks with.
Various other things too, not ventured everything just yet. Screen capture has received a welcome feature bump, you can now draw annotations in addition to what you could do before (crop etc).
Overall, everything is tip-top. I'm expecting my battery life to improve now since I'm running with condensed DPI at 1080P as opposed to the fixed 1440P that is on MM.
