**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S7/Edge Thread ****

Agreed, Either 8890 or SD820 should have ample grunt. Though after using an S6 for a couple of days, its clear that Touchwiz is still a bit of a mess performance wise. It stutters more than my Nexus 6 which just shouldn't be the case. App opening times are quick though but the general fluidity is very lackluster. I hope they address this.

Wait until you get marshmallow , running the beta and the difference is amazing. Should be howbthe phone was from the beginning.

This was the reason I had to part with my S6 Edge. The battery was just useless. I would be tempted to go s7 if they sorted this out.

The battery was terrible on the S6 I had, barely broke 2 hours most days even after full reset and minimum apps.

Bleeding battery stats didn't give me a clue either.

I'm not sure if I believe it will be anywhere close to that, but even a 20%-30% improvement over the S6/S6 Edge would make it a pretty decent phone for a full heavy usage day.

Nothing impossible about it.
Clearly its one of these controlled battery tests.

For example the S6 is rated at 13 Hours and Note 5 at 15 hours for video playback.

With that being said I dont care for these, real world usage is much more interested.

Anyway looks like the March 11th date that Evleaks mentioned is also for Europe too.

If the battery is not above 3000mah then they can forget it. I am not falling for that whole "the LCD and CPU use less power on this phone so it doesn't matter!" again!

Same as me
All these new phones.. Decimating batteries even quicker pushing more pixels

Give me a 1080p 4000mah battery phone please and I'll bite your hand off!

Why do I want a razer blade phone? They aren't comfortable to hold!

Don't see why anyone with s6 would upgrade.
Phone manufacturers really suffering with innovation.

The S6 is still a beast of a phone even this year it still be up there with the best of them, so a lot of people probably won't bother to upgrading.

I have a feeling the S7 sales might be poor & the phone will get discounted pretty quickly for the standard 32GB version by the end of Summer to which I'll pick one up then. :)

The rumours are still a bit all over the place with regards to screen size. Some say there will be a 5.1" (S7) and 5.5" (S7 Edge) at launch, but then others say the 5.5" will actually be branded as the S7+ (and/or S7 Edge+) and launched later in the year to not annoy S6 Edge+ buyers.

I hope there's a 5.5" version at launch as I miss the bigger screen size of the Note 4 that I had prior to the S6 Edge, plus the relatively higher battery life even with the bigger screen.

I can buy a brand new 64GB S6 edge today for £399 (or a 32GB edge plus for £460)
I wonder how much the S7 edge & edge plus are going to cost when they get released ?

I need to buy a new mobile very soon as I cracked the screen on my S4..:(

I think the lowest you'd be looking at for an S7 is ~£600 at launch.

Yup, they will almost certainly come out at similar pricing as the S6/S6 Edge did last year, i.e £600+ for even the smallest capacity models will be the RRP. I can't see Samsung going any cheaper this year. The difference however with Samsung phones vs iPhones is that Samsung ones drop in price pretty quickly after release and second-hand values even more.
