**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ Thread ****

Anyone had it where they double press the right quick open camera button and it launches blurred? It's becoming really annoying as there are times where I'd like to take a quick picture/video and I can't as it's blurred ...
 
What are the best deals on these currently. Three wanted 35 a month post my current contract running out so have requested my PAC code.
best I've seen is 27 a month with o2 with 90 upfront, 3GB data unlimited calls/texts

Tap the top right of the phone - apparently the macro focus gets 'stuck'. So annoying..
 
Well noticed four five micro scratches on screen grrrrrrr, will have to get a screen protector, seems the new GG5 isn't as good as the old stuff, my iPhone 6 got a small scratch in a few days too so I put a tempered glass protector on it. Was hoping the S8+ had better screen protection and wouldn't need anything on it, and been a curved screen will be harder to get a good fit.
I traded in my wife's iPhone 4s for the S8+ and after five almost six years with NO screen protector has less marks on the screen then my two day old S8+ (I owned it for 2 years before I gave it to her, so it was in my pocket for two years with no protection too) And obviously I only put the S8+ in pocket by itself with nothing else there.
Still really enjoying the phone though and Android is so much better than when I last properly used it on my HTC desire HD (worst phone ever!) Got the new Google Pixel live wallpaper and it looks amazing on the S8+ screen!

Haha I still have my desire hd in the draw I didn't think it was too bad lol tho the s8+screen is so easy to scratch
 
It's a shame you can't get the S8 active in this country? I've had my S8 plus for two weeks now and I do like it, I do miss the pure android I had before and doing simple things like trying to upload a video on Facebook or even to send it are immensely fiddly in my opinion. My friend has an iPhone and they are just so much better at doing things like that, no faffing about. Also I've noticed I don't seem to be receiving messages on WhatsApp from IPhone users which I never had on my pure android phone and I get security warnings when using internet banking which again I never had before. But other than that really good battery life, quite nippy and a good looking phone but yes this phone will need a screen protector and a full case which I have so no scratches yet.
 
Quick question from a potential buyer of an S8+. If my memory is right when the AOD came out for the S7 it only showed notifications from Samsung apps, is this still the case of has it been opened up now? I could have course be talking utter nonsense :p

Yep all apps give you notifications on AOD now :)
 
I put a whitestone dome on the other day and it looks/feels pretty dam good.

Not sure about other cases but it fits fine with my clearview
