no issues with amazon germany... as long as its handled by amazon.

Well I'll put it this way... no matter what phone you get it'll be "old" in a few months.. as new always comes out and does something better.

so I wouldn't stress about it. I doubt you'll pay the 700-800 for the new S9 either.

I bought my previous s6 from foreign rainforest site, no problems at all and saved myself £70.

I'd go for an S8 at current prices. It's a great phone.
 
Yup gs8 is fantastic at the <£550, really am loving it, the design (still not keen on rounded corners and the curved screen but meh, you don't really notice it after a while), the screen, camera (photos still not as natural looking as the n5x but the much quicker focus [especially in video recording], excellent video recording quality and options make up for that part), water proof + wireless charging and even the sound/speaker is surprisingly very good.

I do notice lag in animations every now and then but it isn't enough to stop me from enjoying the phone and most importantly, it is still snappy feeling, hopefully oreo and the new samsung touchwiz version coming in January will fix this.

Battery life seems a bit meh for me, well when I say meh, not as good as what some people seem to be getting but still gets me through 1-2 days with moderate usage so can't complain too much.....
 
The things that really put me off the S8 is the curved screen and Touchwiz. I prefer the 5T's simpler design but then it lacks a lot things - good camera, water resistance, wireless charging, 1440p screen etc.

Decisions, decisions....

I had the pixel 1. Bought the 5t. Great phone, lovely screen and very fast. Camera was not good enough for me. Bought an S8. Camera better but not Pixel good in my opinion. However the form factor of the S8 is lovely and suits me much better than the 5t.

Samsung experience is a long way away from Touchwiz, pleasantly so. Still a little intrusive but nowhere as bad as it was. Also some things add a nice touch. Vanilla Android is great but is just that, Vanilla.
 
Dbrand arrived and it certainly feels nice but meh to fitting it!

Just can't get the rounded corners/sides to stick properly, I have used the hair dryer but still the same...... That just ruins it for me as you can feel the edges, any tips?
