A lot of other factors attribute to screen on time other than just the screen on time itself.

We have been through this in many threads before, and I still don't understand why people are so hell bent on screen on time figures when it's meaningless outside of controlled conditions for every device that particular thing is being tested for.

One person's 6hrs SoT is not going to be the same for someone else on the same phone, but in a different city, on a different network, with different app configurations.

It never hurts to have a bigger battery. It's only every going to be a benefit. Thin phones are also horrible to hold.
Id say even on time is probably pretty universal but drain.

Only reason I cab think for manufacturers to limit battery size is to force regular daily charges to reduce effective phone life and thus you need to upgrade.

I'll never agree that a more efficient chip should equal smaller battery

I'm not going to lie, I was all set to get one, however the more I hear the less I'm feeling the hype :(
Me too actually. I'd likely end up waiting a few weeks to try and find the best deal but it seemed like it was the right replacement for my Z3c. The finger print tech was a big incentive to change phones as using decent passwords on phones is a pain in the backside. I might be tempted anyway, or I'll just but the s7 instead.

Add 2mm to the thickness, makes it stronger, nicer to hold and allows a substantially larger battery.

But until it's the thickness of the screen unit itself they won't be happy...

Saw a review of one of the Chinese phones yesterday, the one that is a rival to the Note 7. It managed to look good, thing and yet still cram a 4,000 mAh battery in there. Why can't others follow suit?

I just don't understand this need for the bigger batteries in phones. I play hours of Spotify through my Nexus 6 when at work and the phone is alive and well to be plugged in when I go to bed.

While some people may use more, I expect the majority use less power than me and as a result companies can make their phones thinner as it suits the vast majority of customers.

Some people have a different lifestyle to you.
At the end of the day I may still be on 79% when I go to bed where my wifes phone may be on 19%.
Some people may go away for a couple of days with no power supply but of course we now have power banks.

Even though I slated the LG G6 for using the SD821,m I actually think the G6 will end up being the more popular phone this year. And after the past week's leaks on its specs and features, I think it should be a well received phone compared to the less than stellar G3/G4/G5 series which were realistically only appreciated by the loyal few.

Personally, given how much the S8 is assumed to retail at, I think the G6 may well end up being the best bang for buck for 2017.

Not sure on the hate of the fingerprint scanner.......I just picked up my LG G4 and my finger naturally falls in that area of the phone, especially if your typing with one hand if your walking along the street or something.

I don't think they placed it there just for no reason anyway......they would have researched it.

Unless LG really want to push it (marketing wise) I think it'll be the Pixel and S8 that sell well this year. As much as I think the G6 will be a good device, I'm not sure it will be on anyone's radar unless there's quite a bit of marketing for it.

The buttons on the back of the G4 are much lower though. Where the scanner looks to be, next to the camera. I don't think I could even reach with my finger during normal use.

In regards to 835 over 821, won't it be the quick charge 4.0 that will be a large part of why it's better than 821? Being USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery (USB PD) compliant, it is a pretty big deal? Or do I have it wrong.
