Average one, as I went upgrade route, had hassle with network swaps before. £35pm for 5GB and £160 upfront, £40 quidco back.

Nowhere near the deals I could have got from switching but I just wasn't interested in the potential hassle.

Found mobiles.co.uk fantastic service wise though, as I'd forgotten to update address when I moved and they helped get it all sorted without any grief or delays.
 
So I have an S8 on the way for tomorrow! Got a text and email from vodafone/DPD...

Don't know if Vodafone stuffed up and didn't cancel my order...

Or if it is my smartphonecompany order and Vodafone are actually the ones posting it?

Smartphonecompany tracker still says 28th

Anyone ordered from Smartphonecompany and ended up with a text from vodafone?

I'm not going to get too excited yet in case it is the Vodafone one I need to send back lol. As that was orchid grey and Smartphonecompany is black

Do glass screen protectors work with curved screens or will i be wasting money on something that keeps peeling off?

They've been a god send on the Z3 but the prevalence of plastic film protectors for curved screens makes me think the glass ones don't stay on properly?
 
So, my order with Samsung direct won't be here tomorrow, so I ordered with carphone warehouse, who had a timer on there website guaranteeing delivery tomorrow, so I order and it doesn't look like they have sent it either, can I complain to either company? Very annoying really.

I saw the timer on CPW but it seems the timer was way off because the expected delivery date underneath said 28th April.

With regards to Samsung not delivering tomorrow, they do mention that its up to 8 days earlier. How much earlier was never guaranteed unfortunately :(

Wasting your money mate...they are just a bit of a disaster and look awful if you ask me. Some persist but I just couldn't get along with them.

I never manage to scratch my screen as I keep my phone in a separate pocket to my coins, keys etc anyways. Some have mentioned about the nano coating protection you can get which is essentially a liquid that prevents scratches so that may well be an option. Not something I've tried personally though but something I may give a try. :)

I live chatted with carphone and they guaranteed delivery tomorrow, so that was a lie. I don't know how Samsung have handled the orders, I ordered on the 9th, people on here have ordered later and will be receiving tomorrow, I don't know if my location is a factor?

Every smartphone i've owned, GS2,GS4 and Z3 have ended up with scratches at some point, so my confidence in gorilla glass is still not 100%.

Looking at reviews i'm not convinced by the liquids either, seems a bit snake oil esque to me.

Guess i'll have to put my faith in the gorilla glass this time around.

That's good news! But I wouldn't fully trust their live chat. They always seem to have a different story to customer service over the phone. My Note 7 Preorder with them was "out for delivery" according to live chat but I ended up receiving it 4 days later. Then again, the Note 7 preorder system was a massive fail.

Delivery date might be a factor for UK Mail based on your location, but it shouldn't be a factor for Samsung to dispatch it on time.

The problem with these types of screens now is that the tempered glass protectors just don't cover the full screen sufficiently. Also the full front protectors look awful in my opinion.

Hopefully you'll have a good experience when you put your faith into Gorilla Glass this time :) I'm going to be using a case and that's it.
 
Right I got on the live chat with vodafone...

They confirmed my upgrade order direct with them was cancelled, so what is arriving tomorrow must/should be my Smartphonecompany order

They're still seeming a bit incompetent with info on the whole PAC code situation (bearing in mind I'm with Voda now)... Been told twice that I need to wait SIXTY days (move to PAYG and back, no idea why that takes 60 days from a technical perspective)... And been told once that it can all be done in 1 working day and the other information is incorrect

So will see what happens tomorrow I guess

Hopefully it's a big leap forward from the GG3 on the back of my Z3, that's absolutely destroyed after 2 years!
 
Yay! Samsung Direct order now shows "All the items in this order have been shipped" :D:D
Hopefully I'll get a tracking number later, then if I'm quick in the morning I can cancel the other order. For those who ordered from Samsung Direct my order was placed on 05/04/2017.
 
i had a call today from carphone warehouse telling me my phone will ship to store tonight for collection tomorrow. I had emailed them last night and did not expect a call from them.

Also just rang three to change my rolling contract to a 12 month, i don't think the guy on the phone understood me and put me to cancellations, as a loyal customer they offered me sim only 30gb data/unlimited calls and texts for £15 per month.

i politely accepted.
 
I'm hoping to pick my S8+ up tomorrow from CPW after preordering 3 weeks ago. I'm passsing my iphone 7 and apple watch down to my younger nephew, he's currently on a iphone 4s. Is the S3 Frontier smartwatch the one to get?
