The 'Official' Screenshot & Tips thread 4 FSX enthusiasts & flight simmers.

So Vuvuzela and Chaders, this is for you..

I have the London VFR Scenery and a modest system, so gameplay gets blurry and can come to a crawl.

1. TCAS Works :D
2. I should have delcared a missed approach :o
3. I forgot to put 'Power Management' back to 't/o' for landing
4. Landing could have been smoother and the center line was missed

Wow how can people play when it's so laggy

But that is a pretty terrible landing :p

The laggy comes from simultaneously running:-

1. FSX
2. EFB
3. FS Inn for VATSIM, FSDT Voice control panel
4. Mumble Client
5. Stuff on 4 monitors
6. Rex Essentials
8. Chrome
9. Fraps

and only having 2 x 3Ghz dual core Xeons and 6GB RAM to deal with it all.

Load it up offline at e.g. Bristol with the top 2 things and then it's all fine.
I could use WideFS to bring a second PC into play to lesson the work load or I've thought about investing in 2 x 3Ghz Quad Core chips, but am living with it for the moment.

IFR Circuits last night on VATSIM in the ATR at Cardiff with V and Stevie V joined us. Oh my goodness. It was a shambles..

I stalled my ATR shortly after takeoff and spent sweaty minutes trying to resolve that...

Then I head the command 'Turn Right, 030 degrees'...

Then then next thing I heard from ATC was 'You're turning Left, turn Right 030 degrees'... - Doh!

I made an excellent T&G at EGFF and then 4 nm on Final, I got booted off Vatsim and ended up crashing on the runway; with the blessing that no one else saw..

Thanks to Wycliffe at EGFF for excellent ATC.

Bottom line: More practice needed.

Yes last night was a nightmare. Doing the IFR circuits in the ATR was hard, trying to control the plane and then listening to ATC I struggled big time. I missed the approach twice, once going too fast 2nd time going to slow and stalling the plane  but persevered and managed to land the 3rd time.:)

I thought that was pretty good mate, you controlled that landing fine, was that me jumping the queue

Stevie and I having some fun earlier...

I was too left of the G/S so you can see me trying to bring her back in....

Enjoy :D

I'm using a new movie maker and not sure how to change to HD :(
