edit, this is an fsx specific thing, the rest of the system is working fine

Go to your FSX.CFG file and put HIGHMEMFIX=1 in the [GRAPHICS] section. You can find the FSX.CFG file by going START -> RUN (in windows) then %AppData%\Microsoft\FSX\fsx.cfg

chaders, did you fly last night?

I did an offline IFR Flight in the Lancair this morning. EGFF to EGLC. I used VAS FMC v1. But am now debating getting the Reality XP GPS unit. Having the standard FSX unit in there is akin to buying a new car with a radio cassette.

And I did buy the UK2000 Scenery for EGFF.. No more FSX spends for me this month.!

I'll be on sporadically through the weekend. But hopefully we can do my VFR Flight plan next week?
 
I didn't do much. I've treated myself to the PMDG 737 so once that had downloaded I just had a little flight around Leeds. I have to say I'm impressed, and the added bonus no learning curve ;-)

Can't wait to get my FSX rig sorted, I'll be able to get online then! (Never been on IVAO/Vatsim before).

Yeah, it's the PMDG MD-11 with the McPhat Repaints. The MD-11 is nothing short of an epic aircraft really. I got back into it after flying the NGX for a few hundred hours and needing something that's a challenge to fly, especially on approach. You need to flare the MD-11 at 40-50 feet and still stop before the end of the runway - which seems to be an art I've no longer mastered after flying the NGX for so long.
 
Its good to see people finding good use for this thread. Alas, been too busy myself to do much flight simming atm and whatever time I do get on the sim, I spend on short flights around new(ish) addons I gotten (scary how much money I have spend over the years on addons for this hobby, still, its better then drinking it away!) plus of course, I still love catching screen shots and sharing them with the community whenever I can.

If you subscribe to PC pilot by direct debit you get Quality Wing's 757 or the RealAir Beech Duke. Just picked up a copy.
