Some time off work so I've been doing some long haul transatlantics in this beautiful old girl! The systems are so intuitive for an aircraft of it's age I much prefer it to the 777.

I do like the MD11. Flew her the other day for the first time in a while.

I'll also be joining !bluetonic! at the Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare helping to show off VATSIM to the public. Hope to see some of you there.

^^^ I also re-installed X-plane 10 just so I could fly the IXEG (what an addon!!)

There is so much to like about X-plane; 64-bit, night lighting, healthy freeware community - but I just have too much invested in P3D that has lifted my sim to the level of content that provides a "full" experience, I simply don't have the time or budget to do the same in X-plane.

I updated the version and that didn't help. Ended up removing the "Modules" folder from the FSX root and then reinstalled FSUIPC again. That solved that issue but I ended up reinstalling FSX completely as it seemed other things had messed up. Even verifying the game files via Steam, and even after it made corrections, made no difference and I had other weird in-game issues.

All solved since a complete reinstall, which is a pain really. Getting sick of how unstable FSX is.
 
FSX steam edition, Direct X 10 (with Steve DX10 fixer), Reshade for FSX.

The penultimate image is slightly edited to made the colours slightly more vivid but not any others. Got a relatively stable install at present too which always helps.

Would you mind pointing me in the direction of the Steves DX10 fixer and the reshade you are using?

Also what add ons are you using if any may I ask?

(Sorry for the 20 questions!)
 
Some of these screenies are impressive, but what kind of framerate are you getting with settings so high? FSX is an absolute dog, and I understand P3D isn't much better, even though it's now using DX11.

Yes, I'll be in my first attendance of MSM, fresh faced from the Vatsim South West Live Event at Weston Super Mare.

I'll be flitting between FSX and XP10. I'll try and get lots of screenshots and record a few flights for YouTube.

For FSX, I have the UK2000 Birmingham airport scenery and the Just Flight Photo scenery for that area. B'ham looks a bit sparse in terms of 3D buildings in the city.

I'll need to do a few circuits in the week as I'm not happy that the ILS on my setup is working for EGBB.

If you're new to Vatsim, feel free to listen in. Let me know if you need help doing this.
