Apparently the Original game was actually very very good, it just got overshadowed by Half Life 1, as they were released very close to each other.

It was kind of different, actually had narrative and wisecracks etc, think was a few weeks/months before Half-Life, but remember being more hyped about SiN than Half-Life personally.. of course, until I played Half-Life that is :)

I may get this, but it depends if its good or not, i'll think I will wait and see people sreactions :D

Mate, sort your sig out, you're only allowed a 400x75 maximum size sig.

Just started up Steam and noticed SiN, looks pretty wicked. I never played the original SiN.

Will it have a multiplayer mode?

i think i remember playing the sin demo years ago, just had a look at that video of the new episode and it looks rather impressive, think i may have to do this pre order :)

i use to love the original game back in the 3dfx days, i managed to complete it all (using cheats ofcourse :p). I was afraid i was the only one who liked the game. i bought this twice lol, and have the wages of war add-on, which i never managed to play.

£10 an episodes not bad - beats a DVD don't it, plus you get multiplayer :D

Who's the developer? Ritual?

It is only SiN 1 multiplayer, but it is Ritual.

The first SiN I actually preferred over Half life :D, thought it was as lot more fun anyway. I was one of the original sinners back in the day.

Online SiN multiplayer was very good. If you give it a go check out Spry and any ctf if its going. I still have the original SiN installed!

Sin Episode 2 will supposedly come with multiplayer just so you know. They have updated SiN to incorporate little bits that weren't in the original but mainly pops at half life and references to SiN E.

sin 1 really is bad, but the area dependand damage model is a good idea but poorly implemented, the game just plays like carp in my opinion

looking foward to episode one though

Shows how much of a leap ahead of other fps's half life was at the time of it's release tbh.

The damage is badly implemented how? It was probably the first game to have it, and it works perfectly well: head, torso, and limbs do different amount of damage with damage skins. Half life > SiN is your opinion I suppose and many (MANY) people would agree with you. SiN was a more mindless shooter based ala Duke Nukem whereas Half-life was (supposedly) a more refined shooter.

Well if you thought SiN 1 was carp then why bother with Sin E because they are going to be basing a lot of the features in SiN E on the original...which believe it or not is what quite a lot of people want.

Reasons SiN failed first time round are primarily due to the fact it had bugs till around a week after release which actually stopped you completing the game = activisions fault, Half-life, and super Half-life hype before and after release.

For Sin:E Ritual are using Steam so that they have control over the release of the game to address the first issue. Hopefully they will incorporate the level design, humour, and general playability of the first SiN/Wages of SiN minus the initial bugs and I reckon it would be a good game.

Sin episodes looks good becuase it has contemporary graphical and gameplay features. Sin just looked and played real old, very empty. I bought emergence becuase i looked at the trailers and it looks great, there are some good trailers for the game and it looks a lot of fun. But seriously sin 1 is carp lol!
