Hi space friends. Wondering if I could ask a question?

Can anyone recommend a good space book, not a noob guide or something too indepth but a nice big book with maybe lots of pics as a Christmas present to my father.

I saw some peeps post some books around last year on the items I purchased thread but can't find them through search.

Thanks

A selection, look on Amazon, the first three are quite large:

Universe Hardcover – 1 Oct 2012
Norman Mailer: Moonfire, the Epic Journey of Apollo 11
New Space Frontiers: Venturing into Earth Orbit and Beyond
Apollo: The Epic Journey to the Moon, 1963 - 1972
The Space Shuttle: Celebrating Thirty Years of NASA's First Space Plane
Galaxy: Mapping the Cosmos

Great list, thanks very much. I shall have a look and see what I think he'd like.

Cheers

I forgot two others which are beautifully illustrated histories but are expensive

Spaceshots and Snapshots of Projects Mercury and Gemini: A Rare Photographic History
Moonshots and Snapshots of Project Apollo: A Rare Photographic History

These are photo album gems and may take him down memory lane.
