Me at every single milestone of this mission:

They put ablative under sheets on it but everything else is the same

Ah cheers, be interesting to see how that goes.

Looks like the engine area on fire, melty/fiery stuff dropping from it. Black smoke not dissipating, getting worse if anything.

Yeah it does look like it, maybe insulation on fire/smoldering inside the bay. I'm not sure how methane burns in low oxygen environment, does methane burn black with soot like kerosene etc?

Also, other angles of the damage to the lower part of booster starting to show, big flamey hole on approach to the tower catch. Looking forward to a deep dive on the catch by usual suspects. Still in awe of that! So damn impressive.

How do they get the booster back down? Do the 'chopsticks' lower?

Or do they have to stand underneath it with a big bedsheet?
Yes, the chopsticks move up and down the tower as well as swing left/right. Probably drop it on to orbital launch mount, then crane it off when they are finished playing with it.

Engine area fire appears to be dissipating now.

Starship re-entry beginning, plasma building. perspective of the speed as the clouds fly past way below

Starting to see some plasma creep round the edges of the flaps, hopefully the flaps hold out better this time.
