** The Official Space Flight Thread - The Space Station and Beyond **

The booster looked good, the engines all worked as they should, it will be interesting to see why they cancelled the catch attempt

Can only assume it had travelled too far down range for them to think they could get it back to the tower.

The inside shot shows how cavernous.

Top of the tower has been damaged, whether it’s the reason not sure.

Looks like some minor tower damage. Comms/instrument mast on the top of the tower a little drunk. I wonder if that was a contributing factor?

Whats the next part of the test flight then? Whats the cool thing thats meant to be happening with Starship

Re-entry, splashdown in the ocean. However a lot more aggressively than previously. Very possibly resulting in a RUD.

It kind of is. If they want to get to the Moon or further they need to be able to land and refuel numerous boosters quickly. They can't afford to lose boosters like that.

We all know thats not gonna happen

Starship being a platform with the same launch schedule or cadence like falcon is one thing, but Elon's pipe dream where the same ship is landing and taking off within 30 mins is a whole other
