I've just came into some wealth, go me! But my budget is around £800 pounds, give or take a few. I would like to know what to go for so I can plan it out. I won't be busting it all just yet. Just to give me a taste of what I'd be using.

No preferance on graphics card companies, nor cpu companies. Aslong as they get the job done right I'm happy. Resolution... do you worst with my budget ^_^ Ho ho, I'm happy.:p I'd like to say this is a first build aswell so I might cut it in half and build two £400 for relatives. Not sure >_> But first build ...yum. Thanks in advance, sorry for the many texts. I'm bad for it.

*edit* *leans over to ATi* ;) I have a 3870 in my current build, but I want a pc for my bro to use and one for me to use.

hehe, one of the most entertaining posts to read.

£800 is doable, for a very nice system, here we go:

*snip

Ah, you sir have made my day. Just that little bit more sweeter. I might just tell my bro to bugger off and buy his own keyboard and mouse and steal the ones I'm using just now... *strokes beard*

And that vista I have will be allowed yeah? :)

this was bloody hard, and im £10 over, but you can go for an OcUK 8600GT for about £42, which you can put the extra to a better proccessor, but at 14400x900 the 8800GT will destroy games, to say the least.

Wow, I am impressed! Your spec beat the attempt I made, hands down. Thanks very much! :D

for a 4870X2 ideally you want a Quadcore, so if you can stretch to a Q9550 then yes, thats a very good system.
