Does it have the old style controls of prewinding spins and then shoulder buttons for tricks with a tweak button?

I agree about the pre-order bonuses, it's irritating. I know which one you're on about now, not too fussed about the character or drops - this stuff generally doesn't make much difference but it would be nice to have.

Not changing my pre-order though, would rather save a few quid.

Yeah exactly. I'm going to try my luck at the supermarkets on launch day, as they usually have some special offer on for big titles from EA and Activision. We'll have to see how it goes :)

There is actually an option in the config to set the controller to "classic" but I didn't try that out. At the moment the tricks are all done on the right stick (I set that for myself) and then you use the right trigger for tweaks, if you hold down left and right then that's your uber and super uber tricks. I'll give "classic" a go tonight and see what it is like.

With the default control settings you can use the right stick or the face buttons for the four trick options. then trigger for tweak, both for super uber and right trigger to boost.

Classic changes it to the four triggers for tricks, A for jump (and I assume boost), not sure what button tweak is.

And yes you can prewind in the same way as before, it's a really faithful sequel/reboot :)

The shoulder buttons for tricks comes from the Playstation days. Its the controls I was used to so I shall try them out.

Using face buttons is very much Tony Hawks style. I (bizzarly) used to like the fact they were different.

Yeah it seems to cater for everyone, I like the right stick control but have a bad habit of just holding left on both sticks or right on both sticks and keep doing the same tricks.

Excellent, so glad to see that SSX is back and on the Xbox to!

SSX3 was my first online console experience back on the PS2, wasn't too bad actually!

Managed a 2:15.26 on the race track, still silver but Gold was soooo close to me (2:13.86 is gold time)

Really challenging though, have to do a very smooth run with just the right style of jumping all the way down!

My 3 min bash, it plays like skate crossed with tricky!!

My faith in humanity and the games industry is restored with this as it is good!
