**The Official Star Wars Battlefront II Thread (PC)**

Not that i want to turn this into a graphics settings thread.
I decided to load this up the other day... and jeez is it much slower and lower fps compared to before...
I have no clue why, drivers all updated, same graphics card as before RTX 2080.... just doesnt make sense...

Anyone have any advice about this? Was there a recent fundamental change in the game or something?
Thanks.

It must be your card, i'll do you a favour and test your card, just post it to me:D. I know this game is a lot more casual than the battlefield series, but theres just something about star wars games that gives them repeatability. My only gripe is the lack of destruction, imagine being on the death star level and being able to create a hole in the wall to flank enemies:p. Seems strange frostbite lets other games do this but no battlefront (i don't think you could in 1 either).

Its better now than its ever been but its still a bit of a cluster **** in MP, mostly thanks to the utterly terrible matchmaking. You can literally have a team of low levels and get matched against a team of high levels who have dozens of hours of play and everything unlocked. For example, I just played a round of Heroes and Villains and my team consisted of a lvl 7, 7, 3 and 1 (I was the 1 on Anakin) and the team we were up against had a lvl 5, 9, 64 (palpatine) and 84 (vader). Needless to say the lvl 64 and 84 just annihilated us repeatedly. All matchmaking (in every online shooter, not just this) should be done via bracketed levels. 1-10, 11-20, 21-30 etc.

I must have reinstalled this game on numerous occasions and never actually properly started the campaign or got into mp. Once I just installed it to see how a 1050ti looked in 4K!

Having reinstalled it again a 2080 absolutely chomps this at 4K dropping below 50% usage (ultra/60) in some of the tie fighter scenes.

What surprised me the most is just how addictive the mp is and quite easy for a noob like me to get kills!

Playing this through VorpX in VR yesterday. The Tie Fighter section was stunning in first person, with the on foot fps action not far behind.

Looks great and scales well, it'll be a great day when a native wars VR game comes around.

Man... is it just me...?
I played campaging (resurrection) and the scenes on the planet the frame rate just drops drastically.

Are you on max settings?

I’m on max settings and never seem to drop below 60fps. I do have a g sync monitor but tbh it’s never needed.
