***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

Hit level 72 last night and saw a wight 3 for sale at the Key....time to start saving again, might wander around a bit and see if one lands near me.
i found it similar to the uc A cargo ship, theres a resemblance. sadly i have a quarter million quid bounty on me so cant go to the key, but is fun when you go to the key and refuse to pay the bounty, all hell breaks loose , they literally come through the walls at you:cry:

If you take all your helmet, spacesuit, backpack and clothes off, your stealth increases massively apparently.

Yep. That is how I did the Ryujin stealth missions. Well some some of them as I did not discover it straight away.

I also just run straight to the objective at times.

Finished the main story earlier, just started the side quests and as of right now I'm level 31.
Some decent bits in the main story but nothing mind blowing, but there just is something about this that I enjoy :)

Just got that Penthouse, so obviously jumped off the balcony and jet packed to each lower sky scraper then jumped and flew all the way back to the space port  :D I highly doubt it wasn't just me that did this straight away!?- ~ @mrk I bet you've done this haha!

Why is there no furniture etc in the penthouse? I'll probably never go back there but it was a bit underwelming haha! Worth it to jump off the sky scraper though!

I'm a bit confused about the role of "The Hunter" Spoilerific question -

I've just completed the part where you meet The Hunter and The Emissary. The Emissary is another version of a deceased crew member (Sarah in this case), from another universe in which she became Starborn; fair enough, that much I understand. However, The Hunter is the religious guy from Jamison. So is he from your universe, or an alternate one? Reason I ask is because when I approached the religious guy post quest, he seemed to indicate that he was The Hunter. If he was from another universe, how would he know that? Ugh. My brain hurts.

Hi, basically I had no idea either.

But just like all the characters they were pretty bland so I didn't really care either way.

They need to make it (or mod) so that all outposts share all resources with each other, rather than having to daisy chain them.

The system they have in place is awful, and gets really complex when you are trying to keep track of multiple outputs linking into on another.

I don't think it would break any immersion (let's face it, there is a lack of anyway) by doing this.

Simple fix for imo probably one of the biggest issues in the game.

They also need to add lots more assets into outpost building. I watched a YouTube video of this guy going to great lengths to build walls using containers then deleting the lower levels, I'm thinking, why can't the game just have walls?

It's annoying that this game has less functionality then Fallout 4, even at release.

Don't you remember them both stating that
They've seen every scenario of how things play out and in that you the player never win, i.e. no matter what the example they're both who they are and we are who they are, i.e. we all have a predetermined path pretty much, and even when we win or loose in the alternative versions of those paths, we're still who we are in terms of the role we play/who we side with?
I'm not explaining it the best but that's basically the gist. So because of the sheer amount of experiences doing so they know it off by heart? That's why matey kind of teases you when he asks your opinions, cause he already knows what's going on, doesn't he.

But but but....oh no sore head, going to lie down for a bit.

I don't think resource sharing would actually improve outposts - it'd just make them even less interesting.

What I'd like to see is you being able to get the cargo ships to stop off at multiple planets - the trip should take longer and they'd hold less of each resource (although, perhaps more than they do right now) - then you could get say, two ships visiting six planets.

Outpost storage is really bad - you should be able to craft at least one unlimited storage item that you can move around your outposts as needed.

Pretty sure we'll see more outpost (and ship) components in a future update - that's a pretty straightforward DLC for Bethesda to make.

I don't get much chance to play games and whereas I can make time and become a bit obsessive (Horizon, Death Stranding) I'm not in love with Starfield. 17 hours in and lvl 12.

I like it and happy to continue playing but almost threw the towel in last night. Failure to Communicate mission, I have Ecliptic Bayonet rather than the first ship and consistently got my butt handed to me. I even reduced the difficulty to very easy and just got pummeled. My only previous save was 11 hours ago and 6 lvls ago (not that I'm very far but still). Fortunately, I had a save earlier in the mission that I could escape from before combat was engaged.

I think I need to do some researching for upgrades but the Bayonet doesn't have a station. I'll go back to the first ship which I think has one - is there anywhere else to find such a station?

It's also really annoying that the vendors have so little cash. I've got a fair amount of junk I want to get rid of and no-one seems to have any money to speak of.

Parts of Starfield are infuriating.

There's a research station (along with all the crafting stations) in the basement of The Lodge.

Space combat does rather suddenly spike in difficulty if you haven't been upgrading your shield and especially weapons (I've found it's better to end battles quickly rather than try to tank damage).

BTW, research is only for drugs, food, complex crafting components and weapon and suit upgrades - ship upgrades are all done at the technician (or vendor showrooms etc.) - to unlock extra ship parts (and classes) you need to sink skill points into firstly, Pilot and secondly Ship Design.

Re: Vendor cash - buying stuff from them first (like ammo/resources) gives them more of a reserve - also, the Trade Authority (there's one in The Well in Jemison) have 11,000 credits.

@EddScott I found that mission really hard as I had no space fighting experience when I got it so levelled up a bit of piloting and shield skills first.

I also made sure I always bought ship parts from vendors, this had two advantages one being repairing the ship kid fight obviously but also a way of giving vendors more cash.
