***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

This is why I always feel like I'm missing something because games like Red dead redemption 2 people banged on about how amazing it was and I managed about 10 minutes of the laggy controls and slow pace and thought sod this, where is the fun exactly? I feel like this with a lot of big titles, baldur's gate 3 was a weird one because I really loved the first act and then it just went downhill for me and I struggled to ever finish it and I can quite happily forget all about it.
But yes, if you hated the base game, I don't know why you'd think a short story DLC would have changed anything for you, I can't even think of a game that redeemed itself with a DLC.

Elden ring is the only from game I've ever finished and it's probably one of my favourite games of all time. Wukong I couldn't stand the voices and combat noises so played it for 10 minutes and never touched it again.
And Starfield like I knew what I was playing wasn't anything special and yet I still managed to get nearly 200 hours fun out of it. However, I've tried to get back into it for the expansion and I'm struggling. However, that may be because it's the beginning part that I hate, same with cyberpunk and why I've never actually got to the DLC on it.

Ps. ADHD club also /fistbump.

This steam review summed it up:

If anything, the game should get an award for living in people's heads for so long :D

Yeah man. RDR2 I found boring. Forced myself so many times to complete it. Still only maybe a third through the campaign.

It's almost like different people like different genres of games and even different styles of games within genres. Makes sense why there are so many games out there.

I found RDR/RDR2 terribly boring too.

Game preference always degrades to a Mario vs Sonic or Mortal Kombat vs Street Fighter debate though....

I had good value out of Starfield but really haven't been able to get into Shattered Space so my Starfield journey has ended for now.

Stop being sensible, you're in Troll Land here. I've not tried Phantom Liberty, but given how much of the base game I hated (I lasted about three hours) I can't see that would help me. Diablo IV seems to have forgotten that the first thing a game like that should be is FUN - to me at least. Etc. We all have different tastes. And most people think that "I don't like" is the same as "it's bad". No, it isn't. It just means that you don't like it. I loathe Souls-likes, but I'm happy to let others play them. I don't think they are bad, I just don't want to play them.

But there's a group of fans out there who feel the need to troll game that they don't like.
