Oh dear. Well let's hope. They've got plenty of time to sort it out!

To be fair, its up to the participating etailor to manage the distribution of codes. some can be sucky, others better at it. I picked up my CPU from a retailor who has always been on the ball when issuing keys and these types of things and no issues, they sent code as soon as they dispatched the CPU.

In terms of getting the key itself once you redeem it, to be fair you do get the following E-mail message: Congratulations on reserving Starfield™ Standard Edition! We will update your account and notify you as soon as the content key is available."

Well I ordered from here so hopefully good.

From the way that article read (to me at least), it sounded like the retailer had issued the AMD rewards code, but that AMD had run out of the steam keys.... Either way though, if ordered through ocuk I'd like to think they'll handle their part well enough and if it's AMD, they'll probably have it sorted in a few days

A thought that just occurred to me. I love Skyrim and have played it for years on and off and I'm trying to think in my mind why I prefer over newer games... cutscenes.
Does Skyrim have any cutscenes? I can't think of any. I hate being pulled out of an RPG by my character not doing something that I would have done in that moment.

Walking into a room and suddenly all the characters are leaning against a table just waiting for you to approach and have a meaningful conversation.

I love it in Skyrim that if you turn up somewhere at night the NPC will be asleep and in bed. They can wander around and need to be found.
It's the same for Halflife 1 & 2 no cutscenes, just you 'being there'.

Surely that can’t be the main reason, got to be more to it than that :p
