No they wont, not even close. Skyrim to date is 30 million copies. And that outsold everything else by at least 3x their other traditional games. So lets say 10 million copies in first 6 months at full price (this assumes those on xbox gamepass means Microsoft gives the same full price cost to their studio less the 30% when they assign the figures). That is £600 million in that period. 30% from other costs taken

GTA V: 180M units
Red Dead Redemption 2: 53M units
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 50M units

Most good games will do 20-30M+ units over the game's life, probably 5-10M+ in the first week. If this game is good, it will probably do 50M+ units over its life. GamePass will reduce the units sold but MS owns both so it will help push GamePass subs.

I'm going from Bethesda sales of games. Not other developers and IP though. 50m over it's lifetime. How long is that? 5yrs, 10yrs?

How long till he's generally go on sale so you are no longer anything close to that upfront cost. It actually needs to sell 10 million unique sales at MSRP to probably get to point of making a profit.

The top 50 games sold don't even all get to the 30m mark till have way up the list so suggest most good games get 20m is ridiculous. There are thousands of games out every year which hundreds are good and are closer to the 5-10 million sales figures.

Of which further to that most of those good games sales figures. Within 6 months it's generally 20-25% off. Within a year 30-40% apart from the top dozen games released but that isn't your average game dripping.

I wouldn't be surprised there to be 10 million total accounts/players. But the free versions from AMD bundling them, the gamepass, people buying off key sites etc I stand by 10 million copies at full retail price sold in 6 months.

You also seem to suggest it will sell around similar figures to RDR2. I can never see that happening tbh. It isn't even on a Sony platform and that will hurt sales regardless and in the millions of sales level too.

Have people decided if they're going to do a "good" or "evil" play through to start with?

I expect I'll be generally good while trying to get as much stuff for my ship as possible.

I generally play good, I mean, Bioshock, how could anyone kill the little sisters!

carts for 50 quid yes, PC games were around 30

I never got into PC gaming until a few years after that and I don't remember the prices very well. But console game prices I remember well going back to the SNES. I remember Street Fighter 2 being £40 and Street Fighter 2 Turbo being £50-60. I ended up with the former

Just noticed this thread after redeeming my code from buying a7950X3D from OCUK last week, without going through all 51 pages, will it have multiplayer and /or VR?

A former friend killed the little sisters. He just wanted the Adam.

If you talked with him for five minutes you would be able to guess he would be that sort of person.

I had a falling out with him over his total lack of self-awareness, empathy and remorse a few years back, funnily enough.
