Naaaaah go in uneducated.

Just go with what you think is cool, invariably these games tend to be easy(ish) so go with what's fun/cool not best, you feel cooler and it may add a bit more challenge.

Obvious answer: because it cost a metric ****-ton of money to make, and they need to make a big profit to justify that.

wonder how they feel about the BG3 release and it effect both sales and marketting of of SF. by all acounts so far BG3 seems to be a smashing success so far,

I'm sure they delayed some things with the BG3 date move. Give people a bit of time but it's two weeks until release and I expect things to start appearing.

BG3 will be the game everything's compared to for a good while I feel. Take the time required, it's not bug free but there's no major issues, patch quickly etc.
