***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

I usually stick luck to 1, but I wonder if that would cause the ship to fail randomly more often or something?

I look forward to going for perks that increase core stats.

I can't wait to get to character creation part. I will likely do the usual though. Stick a bunch in intelligence which usually give more xp when leveling up. I am sure there will be a time where I can respec at some point. But even if not I don't mind.

What about you guys?

As long as it's third party, I'm going with my usual female character, ain't looking at no male butt for hours and hours of gaming! :p

Poor lad. All these years stuck staring at male butt's while playing

Honestly though, I don't think I have ever thought of that. After all the armour/suit there won't be much to look at I would imagine anyway.

I expect at least an hour in the character creator for myself as well, same as BG3 and other games. :D

I don't like doing dump stats for my characters so might be more average across the board but I'll expect I'll stick with my fallout style of Hacking and rifles.

I can't help myself. I like to go for intelligence to 11 purely because you end up with a lot more skill points to distribute overall. I find that too irresistible to pass up :D

Will do something different for a future playthrough though.

I loved Fallout 3 where you could find mags where they would grant you a core stats. Not sure if Fallout 4 had that. I will probably only stick Intelligence to 10 hoping I can get that up to 11 when playing. Would hate finding a way to get a intelligence skill point that cannot be used because 11 is max.

Game pass today, steam on the 30th

Game Pass only applies to Xbox I think?

On Wednesday, Microsoft and Bethesda confirmed that Starfield will be available for preload on Xbox Series X (and S) first, starting on Thursday, Aug. 17. On Xbox platforms, Starfield weighs in at approximately 125 GB. That’s almost a third of the usable storage space on an Xbox Series S SSD, so you may want to look into a storage expansion card for your Xbox if you’re short on space.

Starfield on PC will be available to preload starting Aug. 30. That version of the game will eat up about 140 GB of storage space, according to the game’s listing on Xbox.com. The game’s system requirements as listed on Steam indicate a 125 GB download, though. Here’s a look at what you’ll need to play the PC version of Starfield:

Fallout 4 had bobbleheads that gave you stats, so you have to careful not to max out a skill until you found the corresponding one.

You are right. It was bobbleheads that gave those stats. T

I actually had a look and in Fallout 4 intelligence güvesi xp rather than skills. If it is like that I won't be maxing that out as can just do more secondary missions for more xp which I will be doing anyway. But if skills system is like Fallout 3 which I preferred then will go intelligence to 10 and look for a bobblehead equivalent while playing to get it to 11.

Whatever the case I will be taking my time to read and find a balance that suits me.

I've just pre-installed 116GB on PC, so looks like it is available to do so now if anyone wants to.

I've watched almost nothing about this game leading up to release, through choice. I like to go in blind and I've found a lot of trailers give out way too much information/story nowadays. Am I going to regret doing this with this game?
