Game dependant just like DLSS has been. DF did a good breakdown in a few games that had both and showed both had strengths and short comings and although in stills DLSS was ever slightly better in a few elements they generally both work well enough. This was DLSS 2.0 so not sure what DLSS 3.0 is like.

But yeah lot of people seem to poop on it even when it has been demonstrated both good enough and both have clear issues. Better native still with all off when possible.
I see, I've never used it.

They just announced DLSS 3.5

The minimum requirement is a 1070ti. If you have the cash your going to need to buy a new GPU otherwise the Xbox series x is your next option.
Oof - for some reason I didn't even think to look at minimum specs. I guess I need to re-immerse myself in the world of what GPUs are good value and check the rest of my specs.

I've got a feeling that the series x may look like good value for money by the end of the rig upgrade

A 2070 Super at around £150-200 would be a decent upgrade. A 3080 10GB or 12GB (12GB better) at around £300 would also be a huge boost.

I caved and pre-ordered via CDKeys.

First full price game I’ve bought in a while, albeit £15 less via CDKeys. It’s bound to be crap now. :p

No key yet but hope I receive it at least a few days before launch as it’s going to take ages to download on my peasant rural broadband. 140Gb then probably a load more following the early access beta testing.

did u get early access ?

Yeah, you have to pay for the premium game to get early access.

Which is basically Microsofts way of making some extra cash from impatient people.

Would do it as well if I was that bothered by it, but it's going to be a buggy mess at launch and it's not one I've been following that closely.

Happy to wait a few days, still playing through BG3 anyway :)

Will be interesting to play anyway, happy to get a chance to play for free essentially via Game Pass.

No, I’m not a complete mug, though would have done if I’d stumbled across a cheap key for Premium via MM, as TNA did.

TBH I’m happy to wait out the week of testing anyway. You just know there will be problems for at least the first few days.
