***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

LOL, this game had better be good after the hype here and elswhere ... I'd never have bought it but have it free from a recent AMD CPU promotion ... I'll give it a damn good look and play though :)

I have just had the notification from Game my constellation edition is being packed to be delivered by Friday.

Coming via DPD.

I only pre ordered the CE recently.

I would take a fixed 30fps than fluctuating and spiking high low fps. I am concerned, given preferred spec requirements, that without significant hardware the PC version won’t outpace the console.

But regardless, I’m getting both console and PC versions.

Last time I was this stoked about a game release was indeed Skyrim, almost 12 years ago now.

Not up to speed on modern Consoles, but surely PC if you like to Mod?

This needs to have come out, like, a week ago :p

I'm kinda lucky in that I haven't been very interested in the game much since it was announced, but over the last week I've been watching some videos and learning more about how the game plays etc... and now I'm like a kid before Christmas :o
I REALLY hope it's good, like Elder Scrolls level good. I'm not the biggest fan of Fallout, but I'm hopeful it'll be enough of it's own thing to cover any comparisons. I've got a feeling it's going to be really damn good, you get that vibe from Bethesda themselves, like they've been wanting to do this for ages and not just revisit something they've done over and over.

That's why I'm getting both. Console to kick back and chill, PC with modticipation.

I did the same with Skyrim and that still has my highest game time investment from the last decade.

So can you share game saves/careers between Consoles and PC's now, or are you going to be attempting two separate ones on two different platforms at same time?

That would be confusing or as dedicated ambidextrous as heck :) LOL

Bethesda is such a lame ass troll company I dunno why or how people continue to get so hyped for their stuff when they have a reputation for talking so much ****.

So early access on Steam is 1am 1st September here in the UK.

I suspect that the Steam preload for the UK will be the 30th August (god I hope so!), perhaps 1am to reflect the early access time. Just surmising here.

Do we know if you need a Bethesda.net account to play Starfield? Going to assume you do. I'd be less worried about the Steam servers going down (due to the preloading) and more worried about the Bethesda servers tanking due to all the new, old or lost accounts being made or recovered.

HYPE!!!!

That was a good presumption by me :D.

It's "only" a 86GB download, suppose it expands on disk to the 125GB stated in the system requirements.

At 35Mbps it'll take 6 hours to download.

For me around 12 and a half minutes :D

At 920mbps it will take 5min to download ;)

It is more like 12 and a half minutes actually ;)
