This is very standard for Bethesda. Also considering most people will probably buy the standard edition its a pretty good timescale before the full launch, I think the fact that they are doing early access probably means they are pretty confident.
I agree with you however doing early access is also a guaranteed way of earning more money these days.

Also not clicking links but have heard there's a 15GB day1 patch.

~14 hours to go :D

Preload is happening.

I am excited.

Given it's a 1am game launch and I have an early start (bloody wedding anniversary hotel booking!), I'm hoping I can get straight in without masses of cutscenes and character creation.

Isn't it aa bit ominous that the review embargo is only lifted 8 hours before the game goes live
More concerning is that they appear to have deliberately held review copies back from several major UK-based publications to prevent them having reviews ready when the embargo lifts. Eurogamer, RPS, Edge, The Guardian and a few others including an Xbox-focused site have all said they weren't provided one.

I think I'm more excited about the modding scene than the vanilla experience :)

I've been playing Skyrim for over a decade now thanks to the awesome mods.
Wabbajack has been a pleasure to use.

It’s not just UK. It’s impacting non-US publications. It’s a little worrying but I’m going to wait for the release anyway to make my mind up on this. Been burnt too many times going in on prerelease or immediate release.

Same here. But I still do my modding the old school way - managed to get 100s of mods to work together on Fallout 4!

But if the leak has the game running at over 60FPS,I am hopeful the in-game Physics is finally fixed!

Yeah. I think it will be fine. Worse case I get hold of those DLSS files :p

Really hope we get the best implementation of FSR to date with this game.

No FSR3,so will have to be the best implementation of FSR2!

Can’t blame them with Eurogamer, joke of a ‘review’ site that has it in for Xbox. They’re probably also shifting to streamers these days that have a much bigger audience.

Not clicking on any links. But happy with what I read as it aligns with my expectations :)

Likewise having read some of the opinions of those who have played it. Just give me Skyrim in space and I’ll be happy.

I wonder if it is a case of most the beta testing being done on the first half of the game?

Was not a expecting FSR3 to be honest. Best FSR 2 and I will be more than happy as that would be on par with DLSS.
