I've decided that since we've got one thread for the demo and one thread for the beta (which is now ended) and the game is due for release on Friday, i've took the initiative to make a thread for people to post in for the game as a whole. I think demo related talk should try and be kept to the other thread as it has a lot of demo related information.

If a mod feels that the other thread is enough, then feel free to lock this one.

TWO DAYS TO GO!!!! :D The 10 year wait is almost over! Brace yourselves people, the RTS world is about to be taken to a whole new level. :D

I cant contain my excitement *runs around the room in a frenzy*
 
the other threads dont apply to the retail game so this one is a new beginning

but so looking foward to this, can wait to play on an 80x80 map, beta and demo sold the game to me and i can say i help create it :p

we should make a list of people's user IDs so we can play together online and compare each others rankings, could even make some teams for playing against others

muhaha my m8 dropped me in the retail one 20 mins ago, he runs one of our local game shops. would you like some screenshots of anything in particular 81km map? ..

I'm still undecided about this game, I love RTS games so thought I'd love this one. But the demo was awful, hated how it played and the AI seemed naff

But I'm willing to give it another go when it comes out as a lot of demos I have tried have been naff then the full versions are great
 
you might have to take some pics of the packaging too in order to prove it's legit? i know that it's had to happen before as it is a few days before release date.

anyway, mine is status "packing" according to my account so it could be here tomorrow, wo hoo!

Right Im uploading some basic screenies, as it will take donkeys to get to tech 3 and I suck, There is a lot of new Ai modes that I did not see in the demo or beta have yet to discover how hard they are.

here are some screenies, thumbnailed as they are large, 1680x1050 4x anti and full details and shadows. Never tried thumbnails so if it shows up wrong forgive me, and I didnt know quite know what to take screenies of lol.








Doesnt seem to let me take a screenie of menu using inbuilt command, this is one of the 2 largest maps at 81km between the islands. :eek:
 
Mine is 'PACKING' too so i hope it arrives on friday, i get home from my course at about 1400, and if it's there i won't be coming off my computer except to relieve myself and perhaps answer the door to the pizza guy!
 
Im going to go start the UEF campaign just now so shall not be returning online for a long time :) , its one of these games where you play for a little while but before you know it 5 hours are gone. al take some screenies if I remember lol.

ive mentioned them before and if seen them mentioned by others loads of times or has that changed?

and that was a typo.. meant to be ship...

Better to be safe. There were a load of problems a while back with computer game retailers as ocuk started selling Xbox360s....
Guessed it was a typo :p

My copy of the game will hopefully be here later in the week. :D
 
My copies gone to processing and seeing as how this retailer ships recorded delivery it should 99% be here tomorrow :D

Mine is one of the special versions has been processed and is awaiting delivery, so it should be at my home tomorrow. However I wont be at my home until Sunday, so I will be returning to a nice lil present sitting on my computer :D

I don't understand why people say they do not like this game!? It is just so good to play. It is in a realm of its own in terms of shear size and modability. There is no other game that comes close to its mapped down scale and adaptability. (There are already mods to change the camera angles for those who felt the units looked small).

We have seen some big RTS games this year and I haven't felt let down by any of them so far. Whoever said the RTS genre was dead needs a kikikik in the teeth (soo bad, yes I know!).

I think comparing any of the previous RTS games and proberly the final one (well unless you count Spore :S ?) to be released this year is silly.
We have had the pleasure of seeing so many different types of NEW gameplay elements to the genre and Supreme Commander is definately filled with both revolutionary and evolutionary elements.
