That was fixed by mods and in FA. You can hide the interface completely if desired. There's also less turtling because mass fabricators have been made less efficient.

Well yeah, it means you have to get out there and fight for mass. Unless you're on Seton's or something, in which case camp the middle wrecks as usual

Makes sense i guess. Unfortuntely 'not turtling' on campaign comes hand in hand with 'devastating the enemy base while accidently completing the objectives'

Campaign balance is different for the units though. Experimentals are much cheaper and tougher, for example. In MP\skirmish the "true" values are used.
