i just bought supreme commander! so i will be joining u all soon... has it been improved much since the beta anyone? i have heard the performance has degraded, is this true?

i had a difficult choice at the time when supcom came out... whether to go for armed assault or supreme commander, i made the wrong decision i think. lol

Definately made the wrong choice, sup com is by far the greater game imo..

And from day 1 of the offivial release the performance has been far greater than the beta performance (which was abysmal) and since then there have been further perfomance increases, culminating in a patch a couple of weeks ago which has reported performance increases of 50% for some ppl

ctrl+rightclick on a waypoint will get rid of it, and to reset all waypoints select the units on that waypoint and give them a stop order, they will disappear then

bah, been trying to figure that one out for ages :/

if you want loading times to be 2 or 3 seconds download the No-CD.exe, i did and the loading time is astonishingly quick, i mean a second or two

Go buy the game legitimately and install the 1st patch... nocd is in there

Lol, everytime I load up GPGnet, there's a new patch! The game has changed quite a bit since it first came out, lots of things have been reworked and many new features added; very impressive if you ask me. In particular, when the game first came out I kept moaning about the silly ferry system which has finally been modified so can finally just select a group of carriers and they will all follow the same route.

Gah, I've been playing this game way too much - when I quit out I find myself trying to pan and zoom on the desktop or web page Also, random things in "real life" remind me of stuff in the game......I saw a leaf earlier that looked just like an Aeon Cruiser. All sorts of weird stuff.

This game is now firmly in my top 5 of all time. It's just epic.

3254 patch, lots of changes and major performance boost in the more up to date patches, log onto that GPnet and it will auto update for ya.

oh and grab Sorians AI which I posted above do a few skirmises and u will be hooked

Isn't the latest patch v3251?

If you launch THQ GPG it should download all the update automatically.

they haven't really added any content to the game, all the patches have been tweaks and stuff, and considering the entire game is run on lua scripts it's not suprising there is little volume to the patchs

I never played the demo but after an hour of play I feel as if I'm just scratching the surface of this game.

Compared to the first time I played a C&C game it's a bit daunting to say the least.

I tried to patch from 3220 to 3254 via GPGNet and it borked my install. Now I'm installing the game for the fourth time and am gonna try and patch the game manually from 3189 to 3254 as GPG is quickly turning out to be the bane of my life.

I've not even managed to get a decent go at it yet.

I installed SupCom to my new rig and GPGnet doesnt let me in anymore and if i try to re register it says CD key in use WHAT IS WRONG??? Pls help this is an awesome game

Why are you re-registering?

Just type in your account details, don't re register.

I downloaded the 3189 to 3254 patch from the GPGNet website and installed manually. It patched my fresh install first time (running on Vista X64). Not tried to log in in multiplayer yet as I'm too rubbish but I think it should be fine.
