The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

that was the patch with the extra car wasn't it? just re-read the forums and think your right. How can they release a game that has more bugs than your local take-away. The game keeps freezing/crashing, i keep hitting invisible cars, eventho I have a top-end system this game cannot be played. think i will be switching to the need for speed series

I tried playing TDU at 1680x1050 and 16xaa, its well laggy and the Ai is crap, so buggy, still was a great game.
I play at 1680x1050 with 16aa and it's fine for me. And I have a worse rig than you.

I've only ever seen invisible cars twice, and that was after I'd driven past them. They were visible to start off with.

<Bagpuss>YAWN!!!</Bagpuss>

Still people playing this? (then again Im sure Will was last night) - could have been a great game so easily...

Definitely will reinstall this once Ive got my new GFX card in (by Monday) - Will Ill be knocking on your door and asking if you can play out with your Aston Martin ;)

Anyone else - get on Xfire...

I thought with the normal 360 pad drivers the triggers were analogue. They were last time I tried em. I know they were a pain to first setup when I first got TDU becuase you have to press and hold the buttons till it registered them.

I always find multiplayer an absolute pain in the arse. Theres never anyone around and you can't race cos of that. Or people popup and then dispear again. I love the game but its annoying.

Yes trying to spawn on someone is a nightmare sometimes, but other times it works fine, what ya gotta do is arrange to meet someone in game, then as soon as you got spawned on em add them to your friends list and get them to aswell, much easier finding people you know, clubs are useless in the game.

Dunno. A mate of mine got TDU a few weeks before I did, so when I got it he told me what to do. I never tried the 360 pad on the default drivers. Unfortunately the XBCD install process is quite complicated. Either that or I'm dumb! DERR. :p

Does XBCD work for the wireless pad yet?!?

Not that I know of. But then I've not kept up-to-date with TDU news for a few months now.

It annoys me about how Atari treated TDU. It had the potential to be a brilliant game. The graphics are pretty good and the game runs so well on my PC at 1680x1050 I was honestly shocked. I thought there was a chance that Atari would release new car packs every so often, so perhaps getting BMWs etc into the game. But the lack of support for the game and all the bugs, which although fixed by the patch, changed the game negatively for me.

Hopefully, if Atari make TDU2, it'll be supported more enthusiastically and with less bugs from the off. :)
