The **Official** Test Drive Unlimited for PC thread

Theyve got your money and run unfortunately - for once I would vaguely consider the MMO pricing structure (though for a very nominal fee per month) if they had kept supporting it with new cars and new islands (expansion packs effectively - perhaps modelled on real cities). Be great to see a car on Top Gear then a month later have it on TDU - since theres no damage model it would be free advertising for the car manu so a positive thing to do...

Id rather play this than WoW since its more about chilling and relaxing - just a 3D chat room effectively...

Yep. If TDU2 is ever released I'll wait for longer and see what the game is like in terms of support/patches (should one be needed)/bugs etc.

I wouldn't. I can't honestly see how they could release enough new content each month to justify even a low monthly fee. I'd rather just pay a one off fee each time they have new cars/brands/islands etc.

Don't play WoW but I know what you mean. You can just cruise around having a laugh. :)

For the record Ive never played WoW either - dont want to be tarred with that stick - dont know where its been - eeeewwwwwww...

I think the monthly fee would have been the only way to ensure support - definitely think thats true nowadays since you very rarely get something for nothing. Even basic expansion packs every quarter would help to add these extras in...

I dont want to pay more but unfortunately understand that its the only way to get decent support nowadays and maybe get the community we all envisaged...

I loved this game - trying to spawn on someone was like your own little mini game :)

Shame the support was non-existant from the get-go :(

Sorry Will, I'd have a go but 'net connection is in an absolute state atm and the game's not installed :(
